You can use remapper, as @Olfred suggested. Or can also use NUMPAD keyboard (arrows), ofcourse if you have it

Also, in the last Verok's build (https://verokster.blogspot.com/2018/05/legacy-of-kain-blood-omen-gl-wrapper.html), arrows keys are also duplicated onto W_S_A_D

You could also use some remapper tool.
I usually use autohotkey whenever I encounter a program or game with non-changeable controls.

Hmm. Kinda sucks. Looked around the installation and couldn't find anything. I guess I'll have to play the PSX version or get a new KB then.

Maybe you'll find something in an ini file, but probably not. In 1996 keyboards didn't break.

Any way to change the key bindings for the arrow keys? I don't see the movement keys in the settings and my arrow keys are broken.

I've tried the original Blood Omen for PS1 emulated in PC and it have a few bugs that make the game unplayeable, most of the dialogues loop infinitely, does this PC version fixes those errors?

Hi, I wanted to share a few patches I made to improve this port of Blood Omen.
The first is a patch that adds back some of the proper sound files that were in the PlayStation version.
http://www.moddb.com/mods/hq-audio-patch/downloads/hq-sound-patch-v2
The second one replaces the FMVs with Bink conversions from the PlayStation version that have better image quality than the ones already included in this portable version. The downside is that the size of all of the videos combined are over 3x larger than the NosGothica PlayStation conversions.

This works very well on Windows 10! I’ve been fighting trying to get this game to work for what seems an eternity, so your efforts to get this working are eternally appreciated! Thank you so much! Cheers.

The English version in the first post works under windows 10. You could probably use that as a base. Try to replace the file "PILL.BIG" with the one from your German game. Then use the video converter to convert your German videos (or play with the English videos).

I fixed the links to Cuban Raul's exe fix and the video converter in the first post, since the original sites were not available anymore.

There are some sections of these games I know by heart. "I could not help but smile, somebody else in this world was suffering more than I." And the grisly description of the Plague ("but nothing could have prepared us for the horror that was, the Plague").

Thanks for the heads up. I'll add the folder to the download to be sure.

It wasn't creating the folder.  The location and name of the game folder itself doesn't seem to matter.  I had moved it to c:\games from my desktop and renamed it to Kain, and it still didn't create the SAVED folder on its own.  Adding the SAVED folder manually fixed the problem though.

Did a folder called "SAVED" appear in your game folder?
Where is the game located?

While this is awesome, and I thank you for posting it (it saves me the trouble of digging out my CD and hoping it still works :-p), I seem to have run into an issue with the save points not wanting to actually save.  Or even activate at all.  I'm not sure if it's just my machine or not though.

The videos included here I converted from the PC version. I'll have a look if there's any difference to the PS1 videos.

//Switched to the converted PS1 videos now. While the reds are a more dark brown the overall quality is better.

I picked this game up again some months ago and must say this is a really good game.
Especially this mages which projectiles are homing and faster than my magic balls were really getting on my nerves.

But I had some problems with the video converter (sound was high pitched/too fast) so I had to pick the already converted pack.

This is a portable version of Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen that runs on modern Windows systems. The original manual PDF is included.

Lok:BO was the first game in the Legacy of Kain series, released for PC in 1997, introducing Kain the slain nobleman turned vampire who embarks on a journey to kill the guardians of the now corrupted 9 Pillars of Nosgoth, initially to restore order to the land and possibly cure his vampire curse, but later driven purely by his blood thirst.
