The Modern Menu mod includes custom menu bins that should correctly position the main menu text to be left-justified. Since one of the lines is out of alignment, then something else he has installed is overwriting either the main menu bin, or the string file that contains the main menu text labels.

it's probably not something you did do, it's something you didn't do. if you haven't touched the DE menu texts at all, there will be minor issues.

Misaligned text, what? What did I do wrong this time?

I kind of agree, but also not at the same time, some rooms do seem to have blind spots where people almost never look. the cryo pods in the first medsci room are a good example - for some reason, people tend to almost never look (back) at them.

the spot with the helper computer is similar(ly overlooked).

Anyone who walks through the same room three times without once looking around is gonna have a bad time in SS2 no matter how much help they get.

more often than not, people are going to miss it, I'm thinking. guess we'll see in due time.

The literal most important doors in the room don't even have arrows pointing at them. Making "optional helpful thing" more intensely highlighted than "mandatory progress-essential things" would be weird and wrong.

it did manage to stay out of his vision almost completely (only one very quick full glance unless I've missed something, and his attention probably was elsewhere so it did not register), as it is located in sort of a blind spot of that room. maybe there could be you know, a nice fat yellow arrow on the floor pointing at it?

And he completely ignored the training infocomp on the station. Even looked right at it a couple of times. No helping some people.

And he wanders off in the middle of the first apparition sequence. Yeah this guy is way too focused on ME AM STREAMER to actually pay proper attention to the game.

aha, so it's not misaligned because it's selected. "Spiel laden" is what the original DE version has, so the translation is probably just not changing anything.

also the menu texts and their alignments are all sorts of messed up (zero chance of fitting some descriptions into the buttons, for example), when frankensteining the GOG/steam DE build I have basically just given up and only fixed the most horrifying misalignments.

Hey, one of the text lines on the main menu is out of alignment. WTF? I thought I got those all perfectly lined up in the German version.

Oh for fuck's sake, he has Migraine Cyberspace installed. And Vurt's hi-res space.

AI, probably. I made a joke about a magic make (SS2) mod button a few years ago when someone requested something unusual, weeell, I'm thinking maybe a few more years and it won't be so funny anymore.

also people shodanifying their faces is just weird.

Impressive thumbnail. I wonder if he paid someone to make that, or just AI generated it.
