Well I just scanned the file on VirusTotal, and God DAMN thats a lotta red entries. SS2Tool only had 3. Now, aside from Microsoft, the other red entries are from AVs I've never heard of before. But it might be prudent to take a long hard think before I run this.

It's right there right under "DOWNLOAD".

And it's GOG, not "GoG".

I was wondering where SSPTool is, I saw the System Shock Portable post but I couldn't find the download link. I have the DOS version of SS that came with SSEE on GoG. The "Source Port" update seems kinda unstable and crash prone, as well as some of enemies have their navigation AI borked. I looked at the backup installers on GoG and there are no pre "Source Port" backups, so in the possible event of a digital ownership apocalypse, I'd be stuck playing the "ruined IMO" version.
