Yeah, I spoke to NV earlier on IRC and he said he planned to ask you to apply the same changes to his own shocked.exe.

Courtesy of Displacer, a version of ShockEd with fixes for multicore/ threading and the Direct3D/texture memory allocation error many newer nVidia cards get with Dark Engine games. Simply unzip from the archive into your ss2 folder, rename if wanted and use as normal.

So far it has only been tested on a nVidia PCIe 7600GT/256mb with current drivers as of 25/09/2007. It should work with any card though.
