None, interestingly. However, all future episodes will be standalone versions, so it may be worthwhile to just download the Episode 2 pack now, even if you already have Episode 1.Any word on when the stand alone episode downloads will be available?

It's hard to say. I would recommend playing the original games first before delving into The Silver Lining. Fortunately, that's not such a tall order anymore; for $30 on GOG you can obtain the entire series fully playable on modern operating systems. You can also buy the King's Quest Collection from Vivendi on Steam or through Amazon and the like, though you may have to do a little fiddling with it to get the games to run flawlessly on Vista or 7 (and the collection doesn't include Mask of Eternity).Looks solid. Will newcomers to the series be able to understand and appreciate the game and the storyline?

Episode 2, besides being a longer game, also contains several changes, such as an option for shorter narrations, a better walking animation for Graham and more. The current Episode 2 download contains a patched version of Episode 1 that incorporates these changes. A download for Episode 2 only will be made available sometime next week.
