If it weren't for video game girls, I'm sure Pfizer would have long ago taken over the world.  I'm glad there's a natural sense of balance in life.

Pfizer the pharma giant? What do they do? Prozac?

Okay. I'M READY! I have the time and dedication in order to provide you with very useful feedback concerning SS2 problems. No doubt, you've already fixed many issues already in the pending release of SCP beta 1. I'm very eager to jump into enlightening you to some of the lesser "not so obvious issues". These smaller details may not be easily noticeable but nevertheless are very important in the end to portray an accurate/believable/consistent SS2 environment. Get er' done already so that we can tell what still needs to be fixed. We all only want to HELP!

Sorry. Submitted by accident.

Cleaning up the bulkheads on Rec deck to make sure they're all consistent, I made this quick reference map of where the three rec levels connect to each other. Surprisingly, they fit together almost perfectly. The only area of physical impossibility is at bulkhead 54, where the short hallway off the mall bathrooms would overlap the bulkhead from the central core area.

Very impressive. Dat LGS simulation design & attention to detail. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, amazed it was so close to perfect, other than BH54, pretty darn good.

Will the just newly released version of SS2 NewDark v2.43 result in delaying the imminent release of SCP Beta 1?

ZB,

Just out of curiosity, how do you fix the overlapping bulkheads at 54 to get aligned to fit together? Do you have to move them around?

Why would I do that? Why would anyone do that? That's insane.

My thoughts exactly! Just making sure you were also of the same view.  ;)

It's only as insane as LGS getting all the other bulkheads to align.

I'd only be against it if important content had to be removed to achieve this.

both ships are completely bananas. no way you can fix this without recreating all levels from scratch.

It's highly likely that all the large multi-map decks were originally roughed out as a single map, then split up for full development. So while it is surprising that they match up perfectly, it's a very low-level surprise, based on so many other games utterly failing in this department.

That being said, the overlap at bulkhead 54 could be eliminated simply by shortening a hallway. But I'm not going to do that, because it's impossible to notice this issue within the game.

But...but...pedantry :p

It does matter but perhaps not worth the effort. It is indeed not noticeable at all in-game.
I wish I could say the same for Deus Ex...though in it's credit it is at times to scale, aligned and believable/simulated. Other times it's a complete mess in this regard.

definitely looking forward to SCP! ....and using NewDark for the first time too!
(my last play through of SS2 was with Timeslip's original ddfix many many moons ago)
