Woah careful there voodoo, man your levels of snarkiness, cynicism and quick dismissal (esp. of posts concerning technical issues with the Dark engine) have been steadily increasing with the past months, possibly in correlation with advancement on the SCP. You might consider taking a breather, the Many are wearing you down.

it's actually the opposite - can't do as much editor work as I would want to because of tiring real world things. could use a vacation - a year or two would be nice.

had a look at the potential dml addon for SCP that would modify the item size, and unfortunately, it's not doable, as the physics dimensions need to be modified for the shrunken objects, and physdims is one of the few props that absolutely cannot be modified via dmls.
aaand I was lying again - not quite sure what was I doing wrong when I was trying to get it working back then (and I've tried hard, that's for sure), but tried again today, and it works. maybe some fix in 2.43? anyway, the modified item size fixup is fully implemented in SCP at the moment, so it's kind of too late for not having it there (but I'm kind of glad it is in, as this should be part of SCP imho).

anyway, I will probably make a standalone version once SCP is out, someone might find it useful, and at this point I can spit out dmls of that scope almost effortlessly. or if someone else wants to do it, I can share how.

also, you can apply for a small sample over here if you want - as mentioned earlier, SS2 is not a long game, you will definitely finish one testrun before the full thing is out.

the idea of restarting ADaoB is almost as old as NewDark, but the real stuff has been going on for about two years, with the first release hopefully hitting sometime later this month. maybe.

if you mean the dmls, been working on them for the last few weeks, with large pauses (gotta go to work, unfortunatelly). partial experimental dmls existed for some time, but only the latest NewDark release with the extended dml functionality gave me the final nudge needed to dive in completely and finish them up. it's mostly just copying the fixes from my head and SCP buglist into the dml format, with very little creativity involved (though there is some, as dml fixing is more limited than actual Shockeding, and there are tough nuts to crack every once in a while, like those bloody worm piles), so if you have the time to spare, this can be done very quickly by anyone who knows SS2 better than his own backyard.

Thanks, but I'd rather concentrate and expend my efforts on giving you a thorough feedback once the SCP is finally released. I thought for sure that it would have been released on August 11, SS2's release anniversary. I'm really itchin' to get started, hopefully BEFORE the end of September.

Excited that many sound related issues are being fixed. The audio/visual improvements just deepens the immersion factor.
