. . .Would you think it would be possible to also add the MAC OS versions of the tunes as an option?
This is exactly what I was wondering, too, because I love the Mac/CD versions of the music.

If someone pointed the way to download the MAC version...
6742177e12d24
Uh... why is NightDive still cool with us distributing the mac version?

Their version doesn't support Mac, right? So I guess it doesn't matter, because they won't exactly lose money either way.

Multilingual support is something I've considered.  Most text can be stored as json or xml allowing for swapping text out for the correct language.

I only know English...well, mostly.  Would anyone consider helping with any translating?  Please keep in mind we are talking a huge amount of text.

Shouldn't it be relatively easy to locate the texts from the german version and copy/paste them? Or are they not stored in text, but only in picture, or whatever?

No thats a good point, but I'm thinking of the Russian and other languages of some of the users on here.

Best off just sticking to the languages Shock officially supported to begin with. If Citadel becomes prominent fans will do the rest with no input of your own.

ETA on this demo then?

Considering I was hoping to have time to release last weekend....

Not bad! It seems it just lacks a bit of bass and a bit more punchy drum, but it's a pretty good rendition of the MIDI songs =)
Thanks! I think I would have to remake the whole remix at this point if I wanted to change something, unfortunately. Not that it's out of question. The intro song was the first I did anyway, I could do it a bit better now :D
Also, I'll take a look at those MAC mixes, I have no idea what they're like so I'm quite curious myself

If the unity developers were smart they used XLIFF for the xml export of localization files.
I haven't touched unity in a while, so I don't know about it.

If it's XLIFF there are some webtools where you put in the original english file and then other people can translate it.

Unfortunately it appears they have not. I believe I will have to settle for my own XML or json parser.

I may not remember very well, but when I did just a bit of code, didn't I left something to read XML documents?

Anyway, maybe you may be interested in a free plugin for Unity called Ink, I'm using it for a personal project to set up dialogue between characters easily, its API is pretty cool and easy to implement, so it may give you a boost with the mail/log system?

Here's a 20 minute presentation of Ink :

Been working on my Master's thesis lately.  Getting close to finishing the thesis so that will free up a little time. :thumb:

Ok.  This will probably sound boring.  Off topic warning.

A Six Sigma Approach to Implementing Conformal Cooling Channels on Existing Injection Molds.

Basically, hot plastic squirted into a steel box needs to cool fast before opening so it's liquid cooled with channels in the steel mold.  Typically channels are straight drilled holes connected together in a loop so some areas of the part being molded are far away from the coolant flow and take longer to cool increasing cycle time, warpage and sink marks as the plastic shrinks during cooling but shrinks at uneven rates.  This can also cause stress that can make parts break more easily.  Conformal channels are curved to match the shape of the part, hence, conforming, which solves the problems above.  Curved holes are difficukt to drill so 3D printed metal such as DMLS is used.  Most previous work focuses on initial mold design.  My focus is on improving an existing mold through modification using a generalized approach following the steps of DMAIC with a particular focus on improving part quality.

Wow.

I'm going to Japan tomorrow to explain to Nissan why our parts suck because our mold-flow analysis predicted a specific shrink profile for our part and now we have a long part with sink marks and clam-shelling.

Small world.

Cool.  Ya the company I work for supplies Toyota and GM.  We have some warpage problems with our long parts too.  Have nice trip.  I haven't been over to Japan yet but I'm sure I will some day.  Never thought I'd hear about sink marks on here.  Hope they aren't painted  :thumb:  :P

They're grained but not enough to hide the shit on my parts lol

I don't like grained.  Esp not glass filled, always ends up looking hazy.  Course we should probably be using oil for that so the mold temp can be hotter.

I keep having system shock dreams where I find some new area in the game.
