Just a quick note that I re-edited my FEEDBACK REPORT #11, by deleting item #35, and adding items #45 and #46.

WHoa I just skimmed this entire thread looking for the easter egg. Please, someone, put me out of my misery or give me a clue! Lol. What's with the bashing of the one dude who seems to be giving consistenly detailed bug reports and feedback?? Also where is SS2Tool 6x I'm not seeing it on the site even though it's referenced. Also while I'm asking questions: the tool recognises that I have "the first GoG release" whatever that means. Wasn't aware of any updates. Trying to get my game to look like peoples screenies in this thread, but no such luck at the moment.

Many thanks Shinobi, for your supportive comment, re: "What's with the bashing of the one dude who seems to be giving consistently detailed bug reports and feedback??". It's very much appreciated.

Here's the link for the SS2 Tool v6.005 beta https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=6956.0

Re: "Trying to get your game to look like screenies in thread", maybe checking out the SCP Beta 1 release thread and it's compatible mods list will assist you in experiencing SS2 nIrVaNa. https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=7116.0

Cheers for the links. I've followed the newbie modding guide first, then followed the mods list in one of the comments, working like a dream but I wouldn't mind adding some of that (admittely overdone) HDR to my experience.

Thanks for the SS2Tool beta... I THINK V5.3 has done everything I need, though I'm still annoyed with the installer for SS2Tool telling me I have the first GoG version and that it had disabled MP (I do sometimes use it and probably will again now I can play through with the new stuff and share the fun with a mate!) so enabled it.... hoping it won't break anything else.

This is the patch I've been waiting for for ages, because it looks like a metric shit-tonne of work has gone into making it all play nicely with the NewDark stuff and undoing some of the less desirable changes :D

one thing I forgot to add - about those misaligned and otherwise improper textures on hydro2, not much can be done about them, as the level is only available stripped.

I just checked if the issue in this old video is still there. Doesn't seem like it, but the grate (923) on ops2 is too small on two sides.

Haven't had time to play and report bugs.

Looks like you guys have been doing a great job!!!

Keep it up!    :thumb:

Poor Prefontaine.  :(

All that work; giving his very life that others may be warned of the internal workings of the Many. Only to have his very first audio log edited into nowhereness. I don't even think he would be angry. He operated at a higher level than the rest of us. Only... disappointed.

that is definitely not intentional, and will be corrected. probably a result of an adjustment of a nearby brush.

NOT using the 400 removed content pack would be a good start.

do not use , do not use it , then what use?  :what:

the recommended mod setup exists for a reason - if you add more mods on top, chances of something breaking grow exponentially. especially if you know that you are adding broken stuff - for example, pretty much all Arcaniac models have small issues.

the removed 400 content has been removed for a reason, if you use it, you acknowledge that it may break things.

just checked, it doesn't happen with the latest regular 400 mod loaded, so whatever weird thing you are loading on top of that, just don't, and there will be no problem.

Object 773 is 10 cyber modules. In the vanilla game, they are there for players on all difficulties. But, in the SCP, they are setup up to only appear on impossible. (DiffPermit = 4)

I'm guessing this was unintentional.

what map? also, I doubt this has been modified, so it's probably inherited from ADaoB.

Ha! Good point. That is in the Many.

Just checked. You're right, it is in ADaOB.

I still should report the bug here, right? Or should I go find the ADaOB thread? :)

no need, but not quite sure what to do, there was probably a reason why this has been changed.

I don't know when it was changed. I can't find any versions older than 3.0 that are still available for download. But, Straylight documented everything. If he had intentionally modified 10 cyber modules so that they would stop appearing on all difficulties except impossible, he would have mentioned it somewhere.

It looks to me like it has to be a mistake. Since I don't have access to the older versions of ADaOB, I can't see where it creeped in. In the end, I guess it doesn't really matter.

For interested parties, the following DML command will fix it:

DML1
//Restore CMs in The Many
-ObjProp 773 "DiffPermit"

Just put that line in a new text file and save it as "many.mis.dml". Place the file in your SCP directory. This only matters if you play on difficulties other than impossible. If you just play impossible, the CMs are already there. BTW, these are located on a female corpse in one of the egg rooms towards the end of the middle section of the Many (before you jump off the ledge into the water).
