I guess I don't think I am going about changing the zip file extension correctly
More than likely. Assuming you're running Windows, open Windows Explorer, click on the Tools menu (in Vista and 7, you may have to hit Alt to see the menus), select Folder Options, then uncheck the box labelled "Hide extensions for known file types." You should then be able to see and change the file's extension.
Glad you got it working. Nevertheless you could have added it without renaming. You didn't see the mod in the Modmanager's Open-File dialogue, because you had the wrong filetype selected the bottom of the dialogue window.
You, my friend, are THE MAN! Thanks alot! (if you are not a man, my apologies)
I looked after reading this and don't see any place to select file types at the bottom of the dialogue window? Is this available in vers 1.10?
If TheBrain reads this, it would be cool if SS2MM used a multi-filetype mask in the File->Open dialogue, showing all appropriate files at a time.
