Never expected to find such a great FM. I'm looking forward to play the rest of the campaign!

I got a question.

I know this is a bit of spoiler but does anyone know the two codes for these two doors on Ops deck?  One's located near the room with explosive barrels and the other's located in the C-shaped corridor.  Both are guarded by cyborg assassins.  I've looked everywhere for any indication of a code but haven't found a log or a note or whatever that tells me the code.  I'm really curious to know what's in those rooms =Z

I saw your question, I just don't know the answer. But I just remembered that someone posted a walkthrough of Ponterbee and Nightwalker only a few days ago. Go to the top of this thread and click the °Ponterbee tag.

I'll try and take some screenshots and post them on that topic then with the question.  I really don't know for sure if there were even any codes made for those doors =Z

So it's not mentioned in the Ponterbee walkthrough then?

Wow. Really good but earth level at the beginning do not match to the further atmoshpere.
Some acting in dialogs momentally need some upgrades and quality too but gameplay is really atmospheric.
Shy there is no map. It's very nice to back in ss2 gamplay in new levels. I have beaten SS2 3 times and do need something new.

Willing voice actors aren't exactly abundant in the community and acting isn't easy for amateurs, especially those for whom English is not their native language. Even I, a native speaker, cringe when I hear my own logs in UNN Nightwalker. But the effort was made, and I think that's pretty admirable.

Sometimes it's not so much a shortage of willing voice actors more than it is a preference for just people you're comfortable with working with.

And I'm pretty sure everyone hates the sound of their own voice (except narcisstic people of course)

Yeah now i understand everybody have their own mics. Anyway in further part acting become better and better. Amto and gameplay design too.

Practically everything about the fan mission is top-notch.  The voice acting grew on me because I found it to be a tad bit more realistic.  I don't mean in terms of emotional input but on the fact that not everyone on Earth is going to have a generic accent and perfect usage of the English language.  Some logs however did the job pretty well at stating the urgency of a situation or annoyance at an inconvienance.

What's best is that they gradually got better in the following FMs, so kudos to the voice actors and actresses -w-

Did you use mod manager?  It probably didn't replace certain files with the replacement files that contain audio logs and such for the FM.

There are two places I know of where keycards (it's been a while).  One of them is in this one room right across from the Hydro D entrance.  The other is in Hydroponics A lying around on a dead body somewhere.

Now that I think about it, what did Versions 1 and 2 lack that Version 3 has?

To be more specific, was there anything that was completely lacking (aside from multiplayer obviously) or looked much different in past versions compared to what I saw in Version 3 of the FM?

You can read about the versions here http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103618 and here http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123575. Seems like the exapanded earth level was an achievement of version 3, maybe this is also connected to multiplayer...

Ah I see.  Version 2 made the main mission bigger by adding the Mall and the Colony and it also balanced the game (particularly for psi users by adding more psi hypos).

Version 3 introduced a much bigger Earth level, multiplayer, and new AI for NPCs like those citizens in the Earth level.

That's pretty significant.  I wish I could download Versions 1 and 2 somehow to see a more visual example of the differences.  I dunno, sometimes I just like to see what things looked like back then -w-;

I think I need a hint on this mission:
As it seems now, I need to disable the forcefield for the shuttle.
Some mail said, that there should be 2 buttons to be pushed.
I found one on the Recreation Deck, pretty much opposite the the Elevator to Eng/Med/Hydro.
At least I *think* that this is one of them, becasue I found no other use for it.
But where is the other one ?
I am playing this mission now for 11.5 hours already and I should be close to the end.
As far as I can say I have done everything one could possibly do.
This is really a big and well done mission !

Thanks !
Somehow I managed to ignore the middle level in the Bay area.
The walkthrough helped a lot.

An enjoyable mod. It was really more like a remake, though: the usual med/sci, hydro, ops decks. Hydro D even sharing that creepy hatchery buzz of its Von Braun counterpart.

The level design was great; it seemed the original SS2 levels (in particular, the city map) were expanded. I also liked how most of the decks were unified without any seperating bulkheads and their loading times; it was just more convenient. I loved the mall, med/sci, command, hydro, the shuttle bay and Jetaita Colony.

The items were really just thrown at the player; something that irked me. Though, I suppose that was because it was supposed to be much shorter than the VB campaign.

So yeah, not bad, worth playing.
