not really, but as I've said, no need to post "this is a good mod" in ten individual topics. maybe you should have posted one thank you topic at Recreation or something - generally, discussions in the mod subforum should be limited to technical stuff or other things directly related to the posted mods.

Hmm ok, I don't understand the vitriol towards alot of what I say on this website in general.  You speak as if I am supposed to just know this out of thin air, and treat me like I am guilty if otherwise.  Wow.  I don't know what to say to that sir.

Well, I don't know about you but, complimenting on said specific post to acknowledge it and give it praise is pretty dang straight forward to me sir. 

Furthermore, each separate post is separate not stringed together so it doesn't matter if I 'compliment' on 50 different posts or just one, my 'compliment' is specific to that post (thats pretty logical to me without saying anything insulting to your intellect).  Thusly, its not spam only complimenting

4. Therefore you were spamming.
5. Therefore what you did was bad.

On the contrary, diplomats have to have well-versed reason and defined terms/facts for their purpose (for negotiations to go well..that is unless there is corruption at hand) especially in this day and age.  Just take a look around.  But I don't want to delve too deep into politics.  I was just stating a point lol.

Fun fact: you can have logic, reason, and steady grounding without acting like a...well you know..

From a 3rd party observer, I would have created 1 generic thread myself in the comm chat to thank all the mod authors because it does seem spammy to read half a dozen new messages all saying the same thing, even if it is logical to break it up that way.  Not the end of the world but a bit unorthodox in a forum we (not me) are trying to keep clean.

Thanks for your clear perspective on this RocketMan,  I showed one of my other friends this post and he said basically the same thing without all the vitriol just like you did.  I appreciate your clear, logical, concise and well thought out opinion. 

I suppose sometimes it just takes a level-headed person to explain something with some sense of common courtesy and it can make a world of difference!

Yeah its pretty amazing what little it takes for some of you people on here to spew rotten vitriol at someone else for the sake of whatever you feel validates it.

Edit: Its also a shame I spend 70% of my posting thread time on here defending whatever I post, rather than bonding and talking about the very subject matter that  this site exists for, but I digress.

PPS: This is why I don't get into pretty much any discussions with any of the posts on here because of this.  And I am not alone on this that I know for certain.
I mean I get keeping your little "exclusive good ol' boy group" but when others show like-mindedness for the same content you like.  It would seem (keyword *seem*) apparent that you would welcome said individuals as long as their intentions are honest.
