well yeah, there were a bunch of medium level fixes in the reports, but most were about moving stuff around a tiny bit, and while still valid, there is no way anyone could tell without a diff tool. doesn't mean they were not helpful.

even the difference between vanilla and SCP is small to the naked eye - as mentioned before, this is intentional, when playing with SCP, a regular user should not be aware of the changes, he should just feel like "this plays really smooth. did it always play this smooth?" and then potentially go vanilla just to see and then his eyes should start to bleed.
YOU MUST START A NEW GAME
better slap it into the first post as well.

Get yourself ready for potential law suits. :what: .  Also, "his eyes" - don't neglect to recognize all the female SS2 lovers out there.

@ voodoo47,

I've come across a dozen or so new issues at the beginning of the game. I know that the release of SCP Beta 2 is imminent, but I'd like to get these in under the wire, especially since it's been mentioned that SCP Beta 3 isn't likely to be released for quite some time.

I can post the feedback report within the next 24 hours.

Just putting the final touches together. There are considerably more items than I initially anticipated. I should be posting it within the next hour, or so.

Nice work guys. Sorry, haven't logged in for a year. Wouldn't either if I hadn't received that account deletion email reminder from Kolya. Good to all see the progress. :thumb:

I think I'll wait for the next account deletion reminder. Yeah that works for me, 2016 is the future.

Hello there. I give you my congratulations on the mod. It really is amazing. I couldn't help but wonder if this mod would by chance be compatible with the MP Difficulty mod by Crion? I'm planning on playing this in multiplayer with some friends of mine, and I don't want it to end up being painfully easy, like I keep hearing it is in multiplayer.

no, both are gamesys mods, so they are not compatible. also, the (beta1) medbed toxin heal is slightly broken in multiplayer, so you might want to wait for beta2 if you are not in a hurry, should be out pretty soon.

probably.

anyway, making a new dml version of the multiplayer difficulty mod that would be SCP compatible shouldn't be too hard.

Ah, so it's currently  a one-or-another thing as far as that goes. It'd be absolutely wonderful if someone were to somehow implement an MP Difficulty enhancement into this mod. I would do it myself, but I've no skill with making mods, only getting ones that are already made working properly.

Since multiplayer is pretty much broken anyway, (mod) support for it has been nonexistent for ages. You and your friends will have a hard time finishing without the game constantly going belly-up. Maybe the NewDark guy(s) will do something about it, eventually, but I doubt it.

Yeah, I've bore witness to how buggy it can get in videos of it and whatnot, including an odd bug that makes it seemingly impossible to add a fourth person to your game like you technically should be be able to. Still figured that playing it would be worth a shot though. It's just too bad that no one really went out of their way to fine-tune the game's netcoding. Then again, I understand that that would take quite a bit of work and thus can't blame anyone for not really bothering with it.

not that i wish to imply that you have been sleeping on the job, guys, but bmm could use some revision as well, like compatibility/priority checking.

You should tell bluemess, then, cause no one else has anything to do with that.

compatibility checks are already there - should you try to load something that is known to cause trouble (like two gamesys mods at the same time), you will get warnings. as for priority checks, those can't really be implemented, as the manager has no way of knowing what you want. if you are trying to mod outside the recommended setup, ask in the helpdesk subforum, and forum regulars will be able to determine the priorities for you - but generally, if you already have the recommended setup, and want to load even more mods, you assign the highest priority to the new stuff.

if you do that, the chances of screwing up horribly are pretty low.

shoot, I was talking about beta2 of course. I'd say he was asking about beta2 as well, but mistyped.

if he really is waiting for beta3, or even the time when we are ultimately happy/done with SCP, then good luck because that's going to be years.

WHAT? Please tell me/us that timely intermediate updates/patches will be released, based on ongoing community feedback.

it wasn't a typo. earlier posts already made me clear that Beta 2 is imminent, even that only a few minor changes will make it into the patch. somebody suggested a while ago (november probably) that Beta 1 has 99% of what Beta 2 will have to offer, which might've changed drastically throughout the months, i can't tell. sry for the confusion.

oh yea, it's actually right on top of this page.

"then good luck because that's going to be years." fair enough.

Hey, great work on SCP -- I remember the ADaOB days and it's nice to see the game still getting some love. I had a quick question though: It's been a number of years since I played, but I seem to recall Polito's last log being on her corpse (or possibly in her desk) in her office. It's not there anymore. I thought someone might've mentioned it in this thread but I can't find anything, nor could I find it in the changelog. Was it moved or is this a goof or what?
