Have any of you guys had a life changing operation?

I just want to know if you guys had a surgery that has forever changed your life.
I had one where I was operated in my spine, I was starting to get a hunchback.
And now I'm not able to walk like anyone else.

Fortunately I always got around any OPs. Once I almost had my appendix cut out but then the doc said appendices are en vogue again and I should keep it. (true story!) He just gave me a lot of ice to put on my tummy over night. Worked out fine.

I hope the walking problem is just a side effect that will wear out? A hunchback  for permanent walking damage seems like a bad tradeoff.
