the build is ancient (probably intentionally, as a couple of the latest fixes do make cheatruns more difficult).

using v2.45 although 2.46 has a small difference.  theres a pillar in rickenbacker pod 1 that makes getting to the second ladder slightly different and like a second slower.  everything else works the exact same.

honestly considering using v2.46 since it's such a small difference but i know that that's not why folks who love system shock 2 hate the any% speedrun (invincibility, major skips past medsci/ops/rec/command/rickenbacker/botm/shodan's memories, almost complete lack of combat)

i have no clue what geometry changes there are in 2.47, all i can see in the patch notes are fun cosmetic things that make the game look better.   the only things that would change the any% run that i could think of (that i didn't see on any changelog) would be patches to free research,  changing the mantle animation to fix oob (alternatively, forbid player from casting relocation while mantling), fixing invincibility (hitting a ladder while dead does not restore your controls), or maybe some stupid triangle placed somewhere we go so that you'll bounce up in the air and lose a ton of time.

legit considering having a good alternate speedrun category that isn't 100% (all modules fills that) and isn't like impossible% where you can still just breeze thru with invincibility but its slower for no good reason.  i think it'd be like "no invincibility, no major skips" where invincibility, out-of-bounds, door-leaning, and ops override skip (remote frobbing in general maybe?) are banned while you can still do shit like botm cutscene skip, shodan cutscene skip, stat grinding, free research... things that make you go fast while still playing the damn game.

also here's how you circumvent it on the new version.  xd   https://clips.twitch.tv/ThankfulThoughtfulRatUnSane

yep, that pipe and not being able to grab the shuttle card through the window is exactly what I had in mind. also you now actually have to restore power before being able to activate the rec1 transmitter, so yeah, the higher the patchlevel, the less cheatrunners are going to like it, but then again, the patches aren't meant to make them happy.

After a sensor malfunctioned, and more water poured into a module than was planned, the Mizuna shot up.
