yes If the word for osa was nown I would defnitely translate as it is a thing I want
Then you're a shit translator. Even if the meaning of OSA was known, it's never said in the game. Now I wonder how much other stuff you're changing just because you feel like it.
673f87ace0469
if is not told in the game then is ok, I want to translate the best as I can not just going throught google translate taking the first word that it shows and putting there as there is a lot of phrases that it is a different context, if I would translate literally like the old translator (the old person that was translating) It would be really bad as he was much worse than me.

please do not insult me this is not cool I am trying to translate the best possible because I love this game. of course english is not my mother linguage and It is a little hard but there is nothing that the internet can't show me.

and if you think I am too bad, feel free to tell me what I should or shouldn't change. of course for example the rumbler enemie, as this one I didn't found in the internet and appears that it is a monster of this game only I leaved the name as rumbler because It donesn't have a proper tranlstion. other thing, the name of the stations like wake island, cheesepake bay or etc this are the name of the stations and I leaved the word in english.

I know that there is a lot of expressions and they are not just separate words, when translating I never use only google translator because most of the time it doesn't show the real meaning, I search on the internet too, believe in me I want to do my best. ;D lets be cool man. peace.

I personally favour the Office of Special Affairs (scientology) explanation that Daxim suggested.
Before Irrational knew they could use the System Shock IP they were working on a game about a guy who gets paid by relatives to extract persons from cults/sects. The OSA in SS2 might well be a remnant of that development phase.

But this is in no way official and "OSA" should therefore remain untranslated.

I didn't know that but I'd like a Deus Ex-styled game with that premise.

If it was explained in the game or even in the manual, he might translate the acronym to fit. Presumably that's why he asked in the first place, if the explanation was known. Stop being such a dick about this.
673f87ace1304
actually it is not just because I want to translate the acronym. ok, lets supose that it is not shown in the game what osa stands for. I can translate just the acronym and leave it there for example translate o.s.a for x.y.z and leave as x.y.z and I don't need to show the people what x.y.z stands for. but as no one knows I will leave as o.s.a. because it will not be accurate.

other words like name of stations I can't translate because it will just not be right for example how to translate "station chun lo" I will just leave there because name of stations for example are like given names.

the rumbler monster as this name I couldn't find any translation I leaved as rumbler. in spanish they translated to retumbador.

the translation is almost complete.

another expression help:
The second fight, when his lieutenant made a play for the station, wasn't much harder

"made a play for the station" how to translate this,  seaching on the internet I found out that means attract someones interest , attempt to get something you want.

so would It be attracted to the station or got to the station?

673f87ace15ebvoodoo47

673f87ace163c
it means he tried to gain control of the station.

That doesn't make any sense. And "rumbler" should be easy to translate in any language (ronco ou estrondo). Furthermore if you don't understand basic English expressions like making a play for sth and seriously consider that it might mean he's attracted to the space station, your translation is not going to be of much interest to anyone.
673f87ace1be8
ok really rumbler has a translation after searching the world rumble thanks for that, and the reason that why I am asking for the expressions is simply because most of them I don't know and I want to translate it right. one person already asked me the translation for the game besides it is still unfinished. at least I know that this expressions are expressions and I came here to ask you instead of translating each word separately and literally. because I really want the translation to be good. anyway another expression.

You even got to occasionally play the live target in an expert exercise

play the live target means you shoot live targets?

it means the player had to become a living target (other people shooting at him to gain experience), probably not voluntarily.
673f87ace1eb4
It means that you got the chance to get shot at. It's slightly ironic. As the rest of the text suggests, it wasn't exactly a great year for you.

Time to get out of Port MacArthur and back to Wake Island Station.  You got to pick up and refill more ammo casings than you can count.  You even got to occasionally play the live target in an expert exercise.  Still, you can't spend a year at the Mac without learning something.  You picked up a good amount of standard weapons skill and even impressed some of the Mac's technicians.

I hope you haven't left any other nouned verbs untranslated like you did with rumbler.  You do realize that most nouns can be verbed and most verbs can be nouned in English I hope?  I do like to be a verber or nouner myself, even if it wierds language.
673f87ace22b9
it wierds language.

Yes, yes it does. Functional shifting of grammatical categories is best left to highly trained professionals, because you may weirdify language by neologizing while an accepted form already exist for the use case.

all I can say is that a good translation is rarely a one man project.

I'll have you all know my one-man translation of SS2 to lolcat is coming along splendidly.

So that's why SCP and SHTUP are taking so long.

I'm imagining Goggles telling Shodan "KTHXBY!" instead of "Nah!" and I feel indifferent about it.

hello again. How can I translathe the word "Reaver"? because I can't find a proper translation to this word and acoording to the wiki

"...what's left behind is a highly psionic creature resembling a brain and spinal cord"

so, can I translate to psionic brain or something? of course it would be PSI Brain.

or I just leave as  PSI Reaver?

in other linguages they translate as Reaper. I was translating as thief because google translate says me that it can be thief but I don't know if it is right.

hard to translate properly, but it should be someone who destroys, brings things into ruin. we went with that (destroyer) for the CZ translation.
