Hello everyone, if you're a fan of both SS2 and Minecraft, this is a must-check for you!!

I'm recreating the ENTIRITY of System Shock 2 (up to the Operations Deck grand twist) in Minecraft, and fully playable, not just a free roam world. Scripted, with gameplay, custom sound effects and textures all based off of the original game. I've tried my best to be faithful to the original game's layout, so for the experts out there, you will recognize all of the corridors in this map.

It's not done yet and some things are still WIP. Since the trailer I've updated the item and enemy textures which I'll post screenshots of on the original map page.

I can tell from the trailer that you are quite serious about it. System Shock with a fully destructible environment? I guess you could add some interesting mechanics with that but making it really work seems a bit unlikely.

It's not fully destructible. As I stated this will work as an "adventure map" with a gamemode set to "adventure". So no destroying unless I allow it.

Definitely needs some more texture work. It was a struggle to figure out which parts of the Von Braun most of that was supposed to be.

It does have its own soul yes, but once you play it I think you'll have no trouble figuring out which is which.

Oookay, let's try that again.

You have bricks on the floor. You have floor tiles on the walls. It is a sea of grey. It does not look good. Compared to the effort required by everything else, there is no excuse not to at least match the colors of the wall and floor textures in each area.

Looks cool! I'm not a Minecraft guy myself, but I see there's been a lot of work and dedication. Keep it up and best of luck!

If you look at it more as a reimagining its fine. Be interesting enough to have a play of.

Well I tried to match the style SS2's rooms go for with the textures I have. The bricks are the closest thing to a sort of a gray tile and the gray blocks are the cleanest gray blocks I have. And isn't SS2 a sea of grey? It's just more bright gray and sometimes the lightning may give illusions of actual color. But those are still all light gray rooms in the first parts of System shock 2.

The first part of SS2 takes place on the Med/Sci deck, which has walls that are almost entirely cyan.

Hydro deck is all white with green accents.

Recreation deck is all purples.

Command deck is beige with purple stripes.

I only want to see you laughing in the purple, R4IN.

I still really like the idea of being able to eat monkey brains though. ~ZylonBane
