Hi, I'm not sure what happened to my game, but the lighting seems to be broken. The game used to be dark, and now it is very light.

My video card is a Evga Geforce 7800 GS Co AGP running Forceware 169.21
My processor is an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1.8Ghz

The game was running perfectly fine, but for some reason it is now broken. The only change I think that I made was updating my driver, but when I rolled back to my older driver the game was still broken. Reinstalling the game didn't work, and ddfix didn't fix the problem.

Yeah, weird old error I've had myself a few times. Like I said in this thread it fixed itself and I still don't know how exactly. So the tip still is to make the game mod ready and hope for the best. (Bobruck's shock2.exe mentioned in that thread is obsolete. The SS2 Tool comes with it's own fixed executable.)

Well, getting it mod ready didn't help, but if I find a solution I will post it.

I finally solved the problem. I forgot that I had used GameXp http://www.theorica.net/gamexp.htm and set it to the Windows Default values, but when I set it to warp speed the problem was solved.

Glad you got it worked out yourself. :)
