Hi evry1. I managed to get all the mods and key-bindings right and all the barriers between me an playing ss2 went down. YAY!
H-o-w-e-v-e-r......

That's my mod loading order:
Adaob
Arcaniac
Rebirth_Rumbler
SHTUP6
DFB
Flatliner 0.3
Loading Screen
Vague Health bar
Shotg Replacement
Pistol Replacement ADAOB Comp.
PSI AMP2

I go to mesh folder and remove both the model and texture for c3po (replacement for probot).
And then, I go to the obj folder and add a few more I've been working on with SHTUP.
Then I start the game. The problem is that cyb assassins appear with some parts transparent. What's going on?

For the other question:

[1]What the hell Sim Units are for? What were they supposed to do if VB functioned correctly and what did Malick tried to do with them?
[2]How the hell did SHODAN got into VB? Correct me if I'm wrong:
The component number 43893 that contained a full "installation" of SHODAN was found along with the growth pod on Tau Ceti V. Diego and Korenchkin found the eggs and they had their mind taken over and brought The Many aboard. While that, Polito found (I don't know how nor where) a fragment, and when she started to analyze it, she found out that was SHODAN and killed herself.
[3]I've heard in some AudioLog (i can't remember which one) that someone actually messed Goggles' memory restoration system. Why?
[4]How the hell did Rickenbacker got a hull damage that size and WHY THE HELL CAN'T WE SEE VB UNDER IT!? :rolleyesgreen:
[5]How can a computer IA infect an human being if she doesn't have cyb implants?
[6]What are all those blast doors on Mall?
[7]How many people should live aboard VB? I only saw Med Crew and Rec Crew Quarters. It's impossible that a dozen people (plus the captain that has a separate room) ran a FTL ship!
[8]Also, how would all those people feed only on leaves, chips, orange juice and alcooholic drinks :D
[9]Is there a Nobel Prize for being patient? 'Cause you should earn it if you read all that! :thumbwink:

PS.: Feel free to split the post.

The rebirth cyborg assassin mesh is bugged and has transparent sections.  (It's also incredibly ugly, IMO.)

1: I never understood sim units. (on TTLG)
2: Bayliss brings the artefact from Tau Ceti V onto the ship. That "data wafer" contains parts of SHODAN, namely the part that used to supervise the growth of the mutants in the garden grove on Citadel station. When Polito analyzes it SHODAN escapes into the ship's systems and rebuilds herself from her own fractal memory structure. Janice Polito later kills herself when she learns what she has relased on the ship. ("I can't bear to be Pandora.")
3: Again that's Bayliss:
Quote by Bayliss:
Date: 06.JUL.14
From: Bayliss
To: Polito, Dr. Janice
Subject: re: What gives?
Doc - I don't feel right about any of this. I still don't understand why you asked me to mess with the memory restoration on that grunt. Why didn't you want him to remember volunteering for this gig? He did volunteer for the implants, right? Every email from you gets stranger and stranger... it's like you're not even the same person anymore.
Kind of answers itself. Goggles didn't volunteer for the operation. SHODAN picked him and let Bayliss mess up his memory because Goggles would be easier to lead on this way. In a message by SHODAN we learn:
Quote by SHODAN:
It was I who chose you and I who had a robotic servant render your form unconscious.
4: What are you referring to? Cutscene? Image?
5: It's not quite clear whether Rebecca Siddons has an implant job. Possibly she had a civilian cybernetic interface.
Quote by Rebecca:
I managed to pull together a supply of med kits and a few other goodies... some of it looks valuable, but I'm not sure what it is, maybe some kind of military grade implant. I left the stuff I didn't need in a corner of the data library, out of the way in case I need it later.
But let's assume she had nothing of the sort. Then there are some theories: After she was bitten by a spider she could have used a QBRM (which the player has put back online at this time). SHODAN then might have manipulated the resurrection machine to restore Rebecca with a cybernetic interface and a copy of herself without Rebecca even knowing.
Considering the change of physical appearance at the end I think it's more likely that SHODAN learned (maybe from the Many) how to possess a human body. Then she would have become something of a demoness. The games were made under the influence of William Gibson's sprawl triology where some AIs are identical with voodoo gods. And after all, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, as A. C. Clark put it.
6: I have no idea. The mall might have had a second use, eg for loading the ship.
7: That's just a design decision. How many similar crew quarters do you want to spend your time on building as a developer, and how many of them does a player want to traverse? Obviously not as many as there should be realistically on board the ship.
8: There is other food, peas and cereals and some more. It's just not usable by the player.

You can fix the transparent spots textures easily.. I've written about it in the Arcaniac thread there somewhere.

4. I think he's reffering to the hull breach. I'm not sure now but it occured to me that Rickenbacker is not nested on VB with its entire bottom.

1. Right. I'll take that they are used for FTL and STL propulsion.
2. Thx. I was right then.
3. So he was forced to have cyb implants and then forgot about that. Got it. Thnx.
4. Yep. I was talking about the Pod 1 Hull Breach, but as u can see at the cinematics when you get aboard VB, you can see Rickenbacker is smaller (obivously) than VB and is on top of her, so, we should see her. "No matter". It was just a random rant. :)
5. Thnx
6. Yeah. Probably. Or maybe for storage.
7. Yeah. I must agree with you.
8. Right. So VB's menu was composed of Fries, Peas, Sodas, Cereal, Juice, Vodka, Licquor, Bubbly. Very nutritive indeed.

Great complex plots like this ned some explanation sometimes :D

Another question: Where is the log in which Bronson says about the MedSci armory code?

Don't you mean, "Where the hell is the log in which Bronson says about the MedSci armory code?"

I mean. Where can I find the log in-game.

"What the hell" you meant with that, ZB?

XD

Yeah, I got used to that with my friend. He uses that almost everytime. I think I was infected.
