How do you run out of something that's potentially infinite, and only exists as electrical data anyway?

All they have to do is generate extra keys. Takes a few minutes to do in Steamworks.

I had Bipolar in a few bundles, and had to send them a few thousand keys for those. Didn't take long to do.

I had Bipolar in a few bundles, and had to send them a few thousand keys for those. Didn't take long to do.

I think it just came down to them not being used to the process and having to cross reference all the incoming emails and DM's. Plus figuring out why some users were getting the keys and some not. Which they figured out now. It comes with just not being super familiar with how Backerkit works I guess. But they seem to have a handle on it now.

They generated that last bunch of keys in minutes. Not sure if they have run out again though.

Well they can easily specify the amount. So it depends on how many they generated.

After the first batch ran out I believe they generated 1000. Based on the amount of backers I dont think this was enough. But they must have had reasons.

Build 5 is out as of today.

Changes:

* Mousewheel can be used to cycle equipped weapon
* Tutorial / Tool tips for useable things. Toggable via options.
* Improved lighting
* Enemies attacking through walls fixed
* Framerate drop when doing the puzzles fixed
* Lots of little odds and ends (corpses, items etc) added throughout the level.
* Random loot on enemies and corpses
* You now need to wait till an animation plays out before a patch is applied.

Note: scroling to swap weapons depends on that weapon being in your hotbar. If it isn't in your hot bar it does not cycle.

Weird. I remember trying it a few days ago. I probably only had one weapon in the item slot bar and did not think about it. I also missed that Matt said it was now a functional mechanic.

Well it was only in the most recent update. If you'd tried a few days earlier, than that would have still been build 4 which didn't have it.
