Only if you consider Juliette Lewis, Elisabeth Shue, and Michael Biehn famous.

Oh wow, surprised I never noticed that was Michael Biehn considering the number of times I have watched Aliens and Terminator. Thats pretty neat.

That Michael Biehn is famous and everyone should think so, if they don't want a second set of jaws pierced through the skull.

A few of Olfred's fixed models have been added as a separate download, these make sure SHTUP is fully compatible with the fixed model pack. See the very bottom of this post. To install, just extract the models from the attached archive into SHTUP's OBJ folder, and overwrite the original ones. Install patched SHTUP as last when adding mods manually to the DataPermMods folder, or set it to the highest priority when using Modmanagers.
Really? Set SHTUP to the highest priority?
If I set it in relation like this:

1. SHTUP model fix
2. Olfred's fixed objects
3. SHTUP

Where 1. is the highest priority, will it be OK?

I always unload shtup model fix in the obj folder of shtup, then i create a single folder for olfed's fixed.
In the manager I give shtup priority over olfred.

aka:
1. shtup
2. olfred

as long as the model fix has higher priority than fixed objects, everything should be fine.

M'kay. Still, in my understanding the guide suggests setting SHTUP to THE highest priority.

The next SHTUP release will incorporate Olfred's models (with his permission). For now though, Olfred's fixed models should probably have higher priority, since many SHTUP fixed models do weird nasty things to compensate for quirks of OldDark.

I read it just the opposite. Kolya puts shtup at the very top of the list. But, he is describing the DataPermMods method of installation, where all the mods go in that same folder. He says you are to unpack the mods in the order of the list. So, shtup goes in there first, and every one after that will overwrite anything that duplicates. So, shtup has the lowest priority. At least that is the way I understood the directions, so I always have shtup at the very bottom with your manager.

No, you don't have the permission to incorporate the few models I especially made for being incorporated into SHTUP.

@Yankee Clipper: nope, it says the opposite (maybe your brain involuntarily made auto-correction because you know better ;)):
Install patched SHTUP as last when adding mods manually to the DataPermMods folder, or set it to the highest priority when using Modmanagers.
This might be confusing for new users (it was for me O_o). Setting SHTUP to the lowest priority, next Olfred's fixed objects, then SHTUP model fix seems like a proper way, and is in compliance with what voodoo47 and ZB said.

Re: [Obsolete] SS2 SHTUP (Shock Texture Update Project)

no, but make sure to merge the SHTUP fixup pack with SHTUP - that's what you should have done in the first place (the first post says "just extract the models from the attached archive into SHTUP's OBJ folder, and overwrite the original ones").

anyway, all this shenanigans will not be necessary with the next version of SHTUP, hopefully coming out together with SCP.

So, did bluemess have it right with treating the mods as 3 separate mods (instead of two)? Create a separate folder for the shtup model fix (adding a obj subfolder), and then setting them up in the order he listed?

673fda7ea9725voodoo47

Re: [Obsolete] SS2 SHTUP (Shock Texture Update Project)
673fda7ea9784
if you want to treat it as a separate mod, then you have to make sure to set the priority of the fixup package higher than fixed object's.

Re: [Obsolete] SS2 SHTUP (Shock Texture Update Project)

Keep in mind that if you choose the merge option, where SHTUP need to be set to higher priority, other fixed objects files will be overridden in the process (msd_b.bin, light2.bin, light1.bin, bulkdown.bin, banner.bin, air_reof.bin, air_re.bin).

// Wouldn't merging "model fix" with "fixed objects" and setting it to higher priority than SHTUP be actually the way?
