On a side note - Some songs have been disappearing from the internet entirely. Try and find the original version of "Toka's Miracle" which was over radios worldwide early 2000's and its nowhere to be found. All down to licensing issues apparently. Not on Spotify, YouTube or anywhere. Only later versions with a different singer are available. Very peculiar.

Kirsty Hawkshaw and Coco Star have both sued Tiger Records Germany in 2015. Toca's Miracle was subsequently removed from all stores and streaming services globally.

I'm sure it can be found somewhere, now where's my parrot and peg leg?

Isn't that not so much peculiar music, as a peculiar lack of music?

Absolutely. Was a off topic thing. Just something I found peculiar. Was just thinking that Toka's Miracle couldn't be the only one to have disappeared off the net (in legal forms) entirely. Must be others.

The covers Cybertronic Spree plays are not weird, but rather technically accomplished.
The presentation however... well I'll let you be the judge.

Fade into You works through Hope Sandoval's somnambulic self-abandonment. Miley Cyrus tries to turn it into some tough Texas cow girl bullshit. I will now go disinfect my ears, thank you very much.  O_o

Ok, Miley! The jury can't agree. You've got a "yes" from me but Dieter didn't like your cover. So, sorry, no golden ticket for you this time but please don't give up and come back next year. You have a great voice!

Thank you, Maite! This next one isn't music per se, it's a short documentary about a professional dancer who taught dancing to school kids in 1983 New York City.

These old Air songs aged just as well as imagined they would. Moon Safari was one of my favourite albums for many years. Stopped listening to it due to life happening.

Wasn't fond of their later output (apart from parts of The Virgin Suicides OST), maybe I should give it another chance sometime.

Miley Cirus has been putting out A LOT of covers lately.

She did a good one of Doll Parts by Hole:

From "My Aim is True" [1977]

On that note: If you know any other British acts who created reggae influenced pop rock like this one or Dreadlock Holiday or most of the hits by The Police, I'm listening.
