"Bye Bye Disco" - despite the goofyness, this is quite nice! Reminds me of the indie pop often heared after the turn of the millenium. Not really something I would've actively seek out myself, yet associated with very merry times in Berlin bar/club "Sophienclub" that I visited regularly with some buddies for a while.

I really wonder how much has changed since these were shot. From what little 'we westerners' usually hear about life in China, I'd be surprised to see the government tolerating subcultures like those any longer.

Sadly subcultures in western countries also seem to have died out for the most part. At least they are far less visible than they once were. I feel like that's a significant loss overall.

yeah AI-art is coming in strong now, it's gonna change everything for sure. Completely groundbreaking. Imo its as big as sampling was for music.
Ever since i got into it i've hardly left my computer lol. my jaw has been picked up from the floor 3453 times and i'm still getting surprised by it even after weeks. just got my 3090 card so i can utilize it myself instead of relying on Google Colab. Big topic though might start a separate one since this is a music thread.

Sadly the last episode of this excellent format in which a guest artist picks an environment and a friend to do a day of field recording of whatever they feel like to then produce a song or track back with it in the studio, with or without the help of the very skilled host "Nisse"). Usually mixed up with some interesting talk about their lifes and carreers and plenty of intereting producer tidbits. Quite uniqe, authentic and I really was a huge fan of it. Started out as an experimental thing by Fynn Kliemann and his Kliemannsland-project but soon developed into a standalone project without him. I posted most of the final songs/tracks that were created during those sessions in this thread, usually without the actual episode that shows how it was created due to them being German language only.
