If my memory isn't betraying me, it's a feature which allows the game to alter the loot you get, momentarily, to give you an edge in case you're performing poorly. So basically, if you're low on health and having a difficuly time (acording to the game's interpretation of that), you'd get a couple of guaranteed health hypo drops, to get you going.

That's what I remember at least

I noticed that if you add Health= under the big daddies in spawning.ini, you can actually change their health.
There are some other enemies without a Health setting too, including Atlas.

Thanks! The gui.ini, ok. And the loottables.ini too, I guess.

And... should I restart a new game when I change any of these files? (not the gui.ini one, but maybe yes the lootable.ini)

So does this work fine with the remaster? I'm trying to get somewhat of a consensus.

I've been playing a little with Silver's mod with Remastered, and hacking (not the first one) is really really hard, almost imposible, the fluid goes super fast. Playing on Survival. I've changed difficulty to Hard, but it doesn't seem to change hacking difficulty, still super fast fluid.

Have you tried using hacking oriented tonics? Silver's mod  made hacking not an option you could relay on unless you invested heavily on hacking tonics. Also, if memory serves, the amount of engineering/hacking slots you had also represented your "hacking level", which in turn determined, further down the line, whether you could even atempt to hack certain devices. Not meeting the level requirement would cause a sign to come up, explaining you didn't meet the minimum level requirement for hacking said object.

Yeah... but I played original Bioshock (the first two levels) with Silver's mod few days ago and the fluid didn't go that fast by far, and without hacking oriented tonics that first two levels, of course.

And yes, I remember these devices locked because of not enought hacking level, but I'm talking just about fluid speed. I don't know exactly which other differences there are, cause I just played a little both versions (original/remastered) these days.

Changing the loottables changes the prices of the stores you havent encountered yet, so you dont have to restart but you must get to a new Deck.
And if you go back to a old one it still have the old prices.

Ok, thanks, good to know. I've found that with your loottables.ini there's is a lot of medkit and eve hypo when looting corpses, at least at Medical Pavilion. Didn't test  beyond Medical Pavilion.

What do I have to change to get everything up and running for Silver's mod with the remaster? I saw someone on the BioShock Remaster Steam forums saying it needs a little adapting.

Is that based on v7.2 or v7? 7.2 is the easier of the two so would it be possible to get a compilation for that?
673f86b5eb9ce
Shit, I meant get a compilation for version 7 and not 7.2.
673f86b5ebe09

Thanks! I've hacked the first and second devices at Medical Pavilion and now seems that fluid works as it should do: fast but not imposible, as it was with original Bioshock+Silver's mod 7.2.

Gona try a little more later...

What do I edit to make the splicers less squishy? If I edit something, do I need to start a new game?
673f86b5ec01c
Adding on to the above post, version 7.0 is just too easy. I am just steamrolling everything.

Humbly requesting a brutal version.

In Weapons.ini at the lower half, there is a lot of resistance numbers for different NPCs, lower numbers makes them tougher and higher numbers make them weaker to that damage type.

Also I had problems with difficulty changing when restarting the game, I had to change "DifficultySetting=DIFFICULTY_High" to Extreme in Difficulty.ini

umm... what do you mean with "problems with difficulty changing when restarting the game"? Maybe you mean that we must change difficulty in the Difficulty.ini, not in the ingame options?

I play on survival and when I started the game and reload my save, it was back on Hard difficulty.

Also, in Weapons.ini, I couldn't figure out what to edit.

I just want Splicers to be much stronger so there's more of a reason to research them. How can I also make it so I take more damage?
