"Woodstock Barbie" is a name of rarefied daftness but I like their bluesy approach and lo and behold - a woman singing, even if her singing is a bit clichéd rock style.

I figured a woman singing might be something you'd be a little bit more interested in.

Anyway, back to sweaty beer paunches protruding from leather/denim vests.

I mean, Sweet Dreams never needed a cover because it's perfect. But if you want to go there, Marilyn Manson made a better heavy guitar version in 1995.

It's a bit of a novelty / internet fun thing that he (Denis Pauna) does with those "What if band x wrote song y"-videos but I'm very impressed how well he does it. He plays and sings everything himself and never goes full on copycat but rather rewrites the original song to actually match band x's  style.

Not a Manson fan, btw.. I'm also not a huge Type-O-Negative fan but I like a couple of songs and his Peter Steele voice is impeccable.

Everybody and their mother knows this next one from 90s MTV but I never tire of hearing it:

Also yay for new songs from The Picturebooks, the band that probably got the most airplay in my car in recent years. I love their style. They are from Germany and most of their videos are oozing Americana-kitsch, some don't like that but I'm into that kind of stuff. These new songs feature guest singers, which is a bit of a change but I like it, provides some nice variety.

Let me introduce you to some of their older stuff first:

If Alice in Chains really had done a Riders of the Storm cover, that would have ruled.
