Has anyone else actually gotten involved in cybersecurity because of system shock?

I ended up taking an interest in the field after playing the remake of the first game, and completely falling in love with it- originally, it just started with the game kinda spurring me to really like the hacker aesthetic, and then from there I just kept getting led further and further into the field- all spurred on by this old gem.

So, I'm wondering of that's something other people have experienced as well.
