I'm half-tempted to make it so if players proceed to eng2 without looting that eng1 body with the access card, when they come back to eng1 the card will just be laying on the ground.

but seriously (and as already mentioned in the past), it's statistically improbable just how often that corpse gets missed.

They should have made it so you can't progress to eng2 without getting it. Maybe have the bulkhead doors closed, and you have to get into the security office to open them. That would provide an actual gameplay reason for why the locked security office is even there.

players wouldn't be able to dash past the turrets into eng2, which is a dumb approach, but an approach nevertheless. I don't think we should make that option unavailable - once they return from eng2, they'll inevitably get wasted by the still active turrets, and we do not want to rob ourselves of that entertainment, now do we.
