Is it possible to use DgVoodoo and ReShade while using the standard SS2 mods (i.e. SS2 Newbie Modding Guide).

Also, does using DMM to start your Steam version, track play time?

Thanks

P.S. I had to start a new account with my same user name and email, apparently my account evaporated?  :omg:

yes, accounts do expire if inactive for too long. you can (try) to use ReShade, but why? the engine can do post processing natively. DgVoodoo is a glide wrapper and a old DirectX emulator, I don't see anything it could do for SS2. you do not need to start the game with the modmanager to play with mods - this is a fairly common misconception, think of it as a mod activator instead of a mod loader. you open it, activate what you want, exit it and then play the game normally. no need to ever open it again unless you want to change your mod setup.

Thanks for your reply Voodoo47, gtk about Steam!  8)

I am usually wrong but I was thinking DgVoodoo added dx11 and possibly dx12 effects, not native to dx9.   ;)

dgVoodoo 2 is set of old graphics API's for Windows Vista/7/8/10.

They are implemented on Direct3D 11/12 and they can use different device types as wrapping output:

Hardware rendering at GPU feature level 12.0 (recommended but currently has some issues)
Hardware rendering at GPU feature level 11.0 (recommended)
Hardware rendering at GPU feature level 10.1 (has a minor limitation for D3D8/9)
Hardware rendering at GPU feature level 10.0 (there are some restrictions)
Software rendering through Microsoft WARP renderer
The following graphics API libraries are implemented:

Glide 2.11, Glide 2.45, Glide 3.1 and Glide 3.1 Napalm
DirectX 1-7 (all versions of DirectDraw and Direct3D up to version 7)
Direct3D 8.1
Direct3D 9
so old stuff running on new stuff, not vice versa. so technically, you could run the cd version of SS2 and it could/would actually work (nigh impossible on a vista+ dx10+ computer).
