yeah, some savescumming going on, but you know, first time player choosing psi. he did figure out a workable way through the eng1 security strongpoint fairly quickly (cryo+leaning) - only died about a dozen of times.

If only this guy was using SCP, he wouldn't have gotten the objective to install the toxin in the regulators before it was actually possible to do so.

Still doesn't know how to view object descriptions.

Still hasn't figured out that there's a hotkey for switching ammo type.

Wonders why things are weird colors when he has gamma AND bloom cranked all the way up.

I think the fix is a bit too complex for the GOG/steam build. anyway, threw some advice around, probably saving him a hour or two of pure suffering.

Good. The vanilla build is supposed to be as vanilla as possible, not "SCP Lite".

fun moment - he is going to use SFG for the first time, and it's on a turret, and I'm thinking haha, that's not going to work. but it does - completely forgot I've fixed this in the GOG/steam build.

//also this is the only LP in existence where the player is using a SFG in a serious manner. all sins are forgiven.

For some reason the turrets in the room with the first recharger get stunned indefinitely with the Stasis Field Generator (at least in SCP), no other turret works like that to my knowledge.

just checked, no they don't, at least not with just SCP active (I'm on beta5, but that shouldn't make any difference). there is no reason why this should be happening - are other mods involved?

I'll have to check. It was with my SS2-RSD mod active and some others like Repairman etc. but since I didn't fundamentally change anything about the SFG (just its placement in the heavy skill and some stats) or those turrets I figured it wasn't on me.

I'm not aware of any way of making the stun permanent by accident - it's basically "if the AI has stun vulnerability, a metaprop will be added onto it when hit by the SFG beam, the script on the metaprop will lock it down, then the metaprop will remove itself". to make it permanent, some source would have to keep stimming the turret, afaik.

anyway, same deal as always - keep disabling mods one by one until the problem goes away.
