Video game franchise BioShock is getting another shot at a film adaptation, this time via Netflix.

The streaming giant has partnered with Take-Two Interactive, the game’s parent company, to develop a potential cinematic universe. Vertigo Entertainment and Take Two will serve as producers.

No writer or filmmaker is on board at this time. The partnership deal has been in the works for almost a year.

That's pretty much word for word what I would have written. I have no faith in either the movie industry or the game industry nowadays.

A new series of Frasier (the brilliant 1990s American sitcom, starring Kelsey Grammer) is being made. There are no details yet of which, if any, of the original cast will be returning. Sadly, his father won't be returning, as the actor who played him died a few years ago.

Of course, my hopes aren't high that this will even approach the quality of the original. Also, a TV series based on the classic 1960s film The Italian Job, is being made.

Remember when having an imagination was a requirement for creativity? Today's film and TV producers seem to have forgotten it.
