Hello,

I just thought I would drop these here. I approached Stephen Kick a few months back and asked if Terri Brosius would be interested in recording the voice lines.

He said yes and to my surprise sent them to me as a gift.

Credit to Terri Brosius for the awesome VA and a special thanks to Stephen Kick for making it happen.
And of course a special thanks to Christine et al for making the fan missions and her permission to have these re recorded.

If there are any issues with the above link just let me know. Everything should be good with it though.

There are two sets of tracks for each recording. One with the voice only and the other with the full back ground ambient sounds and distortions as well. Ponterbee_Nightwalker_VO_Terri_Dark zip contains ready to install files, extract (each snd2 folder) to the respective fan mission root folder and overwrite to get the new voiceovers.

I just wanted to add that I updated the credits readme file on Dropbox and added thanks for Christine's permission to re record the voice lines there as well as in my initial post. It did not make it into the zipped folder Voodoo attached to my post. If it is redistributed anywhere else it would be nice if the updated readme is included. I would give anything (and pay GOOD MONEY) for a Shodan (or Polito, but that's a different voice actor) email where she explains that there's some sort of annelid substance in the air causing equipment around the station, including weapons, to degrade very quickly, and that you should be careful.

Then if it was placed in a mod somewhere (maybe even SCP) it could finally stop the "why do the weapons degrade so fast? It's unrealistic!" type threads.

I am glad to see people are enjoying the voice recordings.

In hind sight I wish I had also looked into sending transcriptions for the voice recordings of Rewired as well.
I think it has a few SHODAN voice logs.
I did not think of it at the time.

well yes, you can get the sound files (Ponterbee_Nightwalker_VO_Terri_Dark zip), pop them into the respective FM's folder, and enjoy Terri's voice?

aaand I was just about to say the ready to go sound files are attached to each FM topic, but apparently not. I'll add a link to this topic to them for now.

no. two of Christine's fan missions actually have Shodan as the main villain, with all the voiceovers originally done by Christine. but the thing is, you kind of really want to hear Terri's voice if you think Shodan - and this is it, all Shodan's lines in those two missions are now redone with Terri as the VA.

we sort of missed the recording opportunity with the degradation log (because we were not reminding NDS often enough, apparently), the plan is to have them recorded eventually, but it seems like it will not make it into SCPb5/SS2EE first release.

there are no other FMs that have Shodan, the rest of fan missions either have a different AI to keep you company or no AI at all. works quite well, surprisingly - more often than not, being your own thing is better than trying to force yourself into the canon.
