Cut Content System Shock 2

Will we ever see any cut content in the future? I truly don't know what's out there. But judging by the short development time SS2 had, I felt some things were unfinished. For example, when you go to the Garden at deck 4 SHODAN says there is another who can serve her will. And we should not fall out of her favor, yet we NEVER see it happen in the game. Nor does it EVER get mentioned again. Or how about meeting Delecroix in Deck 5 ops, all that happens is we see her corpse with an audio diary of her death. The same thing applies to Captain Diego on the Rickenbacker.  What were Irrational's intentions?

For the stuff your mentioning - No that will never be released as it does not exist. Not meeting any npcs in person was intentional, as the aspect of being on your own is core to the System Shock experience.

As for cut content in general - Some is out there. For example the Dojo map.

There are plenty of cut emails that exist in the game files.

None of them are particularly interesting, though.

There is also some Xerxes dialogs where he basically says "security units move to sector <some sector name>", with various different sector names. I assume that these were supposed to be constant xerxes barks for when the security system was set off.

I believe the person SHODAN mentions as her "other" is Delacroix, before she betrays her and leaves her to die.

Delacroix is alleged to have been planned as a companion for the player or something, she has a bunch of animations for fighting, can't remember if there was more to it than that.

I thought animations were generic for bipeds or whatever.  These are specifically for Delacroix?

There were plans for a System Shock 2 gold -- most likely it would have featured a new Delacroix campaign (where you are Delacroix, that is). Alas, it did not happen.

Wow, the fact that they originally had a log about depressurising the engineering deck to get rid of the contaminants in the coolant tubes now makes sense of why there's a completely random shuttle bay in Engineering. TIL

If they're going to make a game based on Delacroix, they're going to have to up the polygon count... a lot... before I play it.
