Having trouble compressing my files so it's enough for the 10240KB attach limit?

I have two sound files which are a minute long each. They're around 5500KB when compressed in ZIP files. However, the website upload limit is 10240KB, so I can't attach them both. I've rendered them in 32,000 hz to cut down. I don't want to sacrifice the audio quality too much, so I'd appreciate any help. Cheers.
