What exactly do you want to see implemented from ADaOB 0.3.0?

Um... everything?

- Inclusion of SHEMP high resolution terrain textures (mostly screens and other tech displays)
Already planned for inclusion in SecMod but we don't have time right now.

- Med/Sci armoury note is now correctly ticked off
- Added shields on shuttle ports on the training stations and in the Command deck shuttle bays
Both already in the next version of SecMod.

- Re-added a small number of French-Epstein devices and Auto-repair units on Impossible difficulty
SecMod didn't have these all removed in the first place.

- "Plasma" pistol changed back to laser pistol.  Significantly decreased degrade rate for non-overcharge shots
SecMod already had these implemented as laser pistols first, and implements them a lot better than ADaoB does.

- Auto-repair units and French-Epstein devices can now be recycled (for 20 nanites)
Auto-repair units can already be recycled for 6 nanites in SecMod.

- Removed ejecting casings from blast turrets because they looked too strange
SecMod never had them.

- Localised Pyrokinesis now deals 1 damage / 400ms instead of 5 damage / 2000ms
- Hazard suit now makes you completely immune to toxins from worm piles
SecMod already did this first.

- Replaced elevator music with high-quality full-length version from SS1
SecMod doesn't have elevator music (though I think it should).

Which only leaves these:
- Fixed light switch in Med/Sci corridor over training stations
- Added targets to the shooting range on Ops
- Added ceiling glass to a room in Rec that previously opened out into space
- Realigned many textures and fixed many object placements
- Shrank physics model on a Rickenbacker turret that was very hard to walk past before
- Fixed the hole between the pipes in Rickenbacker Pod 2 where you could easily fall to your death
- Various minor tweaks

Let me just ninja-edit that...  and all the other places that line has been copied...

Don't tell me you want to critique my....ahem....technobabble

Just wondering what a hacked security station has to do with "turret" being misspelled.

(although now that you mention it, the technobabble could use some tweaking... and antialiasing...)

I could ask what "turret" being misspelled has to do with my release/update thread -- and that font keeps getting blocky at low widths, maybe ill blur it some more

Blurring is not the way to make text look better.

He meant that the turret physics model had been reduced.

He meant that the turret physics model had been reduced.

Well yeah, it has. You just said so. And then he posts a picture of a security station.

Oh well, as long as you understand his crazy moon logic, I guess that's enough.

What?  No, I said I fixed it in ADaOB, I didn't know he'd fixed it in SecMod until just now.

And the security station turning red when hacked looks nice to me.

If we could keep talking about this for a few more pages that would be great.

Um, yeah, great job fixing that turrent and security station goes nicely with that too... although...

Wouldn't it be cute to have there "temporarily" instead of "momentarily". IMHO it sounds much more like you know like am-da-ninja-woaah-googles-hacka like you know like

Someone hacked Miracle's account?

Temporarily sounds better, yes.  More technical.

Re: SS2 TF's Secmod 2.8

Which is why it shouldn't be in a piece of what is essentially flavour text, 'momentarily' is a lot more personal and also funny if the system downtime is actually something like 500 seconds; 'temporarily' is how you'd describe the phenomenon in the readme for maximum clarity.

If you've hacked into a system, it makes sense that you'd see status messages only intended for people with admin access. If you wanted to go for more cheeky AND more technically accurate, perhaps something like--

Forcing database rebuild...
System offline for NaN seconds...
