I think you need to explore Shocked Editors/GameSys Variables.

Melee weapon swings are motions, not coded animations like the guns use. Adding time warp to melee weapons has no effect, so pretty sure the only way to change their speed is to edit the motion.

iirc there were a few variables there that seemed to be melee weapon related, but guess not.

Just damage values and modifiers.

As a side note, the hit detection is also a point marked in the melee weapon model. IIRC you actually hit the enemy with the mid section of the meele weapon and not with the tip. I tinkered around with that a bit and if you would actually hit with the tip of a weapon it would be too powerful, so it seems like a balance decision to shift it further back.

are you saying theres a leverage physics mechanic in game which increases the wrenches damage if you hit with the tip? thats pretty impressive for such an old game

He's saying that you would have too much melee range if the hitbox was on the tip of the weapon instead of the center.

Yes, you too can help an anthropomorphic fox realize his dream of traveling into unknown space to shoot paper airplanes and a giant one-armed bandit.
