i am already playing this with alternate start - amongst other mods - and it is very demanding on normal mode :l

but then again with current mod configuration i had one of the most immersive ss2 run so far. i had to backtrack early on in the game from engineering deck to med/sci like 4 or 5 times to be even able to further progress without dying...

had to go back for medbed, upgrade stations, battery refill, chemicals, some goodies i wasn't able to carry around, etc. etc. etc. ..

it is now extremely tight survival game more than ever.

it is extreme experience now - top notch so far. spectacular gameplay!

Any chance you could make this compatible with Alternate Start? This mod here: https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=11621

What's incompatible about it?

That was my mistake, I might have had a weird load order. It works perfectly together.

New version up. The DML is significantly simpler, and now CMs are randomised around the map (and compatible with the Randomiser's much better, more in-depth randomisation, if you prefer).

Thanks to @ZylonBane for showing how to get a list of concretes of a certain archetype in the map, it helped a lot and made this new version much easier. The approach used is similar to Mission Zero, but done slightly differently, and obviously without most of the Mission Zero changes.
