Is there any FM out there which has Cyberspace reincluded? I noticed there is something that looks like a cyberspace node on uhm deck 4 in that crew quarters' lounge with the billard table. And the UNN training simulations already did look a lot like the classical Cyberspace imo. Now, if you were to remove gravity maybe... or classify it as water without removing health after some time... it COULD work, couldn't it?

There currently is no FM that includes a cyberspace simulation as in SS1. There is one (half)dead project named Citadel Conversion Project (CCP) and Zygo has been working on that very aspect for CCP. From what I know it's not as easy as removing gravity or flooding the place with invisible water. Because you still wouldn't have free 360° movement. And then there's the transparent walls Zygo mentions in that post. The DarkEngine carves it's rooms from solid space, so it's not exactly made for flying through wireframes.

I'm sure Nameless and Zygo could tell you more about it, that's just what I know.

Right. But the thing is that they are trying to reproduce the Cyberspace as it was seen in Shock 1.

Now what if you were to keep the invisible walls out of it and design it more like the virtual rooms seen in the UNN training missions? That way the place would be solid space. You could also include some very strange objects like windows (as in MS Windows windows) or similar stuff as symbols and objects for various types of data. Maybe a bit like the stuff seen in Virus or AI Wars, both of them being games in which you were working from the inside of the computer against virusses and other stuff.

More like this maybe?

Would this involve much work? I think it could be pretty cool for FM authors since they could use all their creativity and fantasy here and also create some impossible architecture.

You can do cyberspace as done with the training or Where Am I? very easily as it's basically just normal architecture. Quasi SS1 cyberspace is a lot more difficult as the Dark Engine is not really designed to cope with it. What I've done (so far) with CCP has taken a lot of complicated hacks and it still isn't all that close to SS1's cyberspace, but either a zero grav or water based approach does work as a quick and easy means of getting 'cyberspace'
