For quite some time now I've been using an ASUS EEE 1000H as my main computer. Which also means that if I play a game, it's usually on this machine. (Trine being an excellent exception as of late.)

Anyway, the games we represent/discuss here all run on netbooks of course and I thought maybe we should extend the forums a bit in that direction. So hands up who's got a minilaptop and both hands up if you'd be interested in discussing games for it.

And of course I also want to hear any objections. :)

Actually the first thing I did upon receiving my HP Mini 311 was... making SS2 run on it. And it did! Runs flawlessly now.

Been doing lots of work in this area - seeing what I can and can't run on my Samsung NC310. Standard Netbook specs. There is a lot that can be done, and it's worth checking out this site:

http://intel9xx.moonfruit.com/

if you're interested. It's dedicated to Intel Integrated Graphics gaming - which is, of course, what the vast majority of netboks are running.

Currently I am playing SS2, The Sims 2, Grim Fandango, Morrowind and Call Of Cthulhu: DCotE - also Bioware RPGs :P

There seems to be growing interest in this kind of thing, so I think your idea of extending the forums is a good one.

This newsgroup seems to be the source of the website linked above. Looks like a good source on netbook gaming on Intel 9xx integrated graphics chipsets:

There's a compatibility list, modded drivers and assorted tweaks.

Hey Kolya whats the specs for your Eee 1000H? Cause i have myself a EeePC 701. It was the first of all the Eee's to come out. And i recently got SS2 to work in 800x640 Res with out any scrolling.

Display is 1024x600, 160GB HD, graphics: Mobile Intel 945 Express, Intel Atom processor N270 @ 1.6 GHz, 1GB RAM stock but I upgraded it to 2GB.

I can run SS2 without problems in desktop resolution, thanks to the widescreen mod (see SS2Tool).

Some other notable games that I have running: Tomb Raider Anniversary, Tron 2.0.
Simple online shooters like Quake Live and Baboviolent2 also run fine. And of course older games like Mechwarrior4, Jedi Knight, Starcraft, etc.
