I was thinking about expanding areas of both ships that the game's original designers either left out because they had no time to put them in, or just forgot about them.  For example:In the central crew quarters of Deck 5, there are a number of doors that weren't doors at all, just recesses in the walls.  Perhaps these could become actual crew quarters that contain corpses, enemies and eggs. 

Another example is on the Rickenbacker.  Thanks to the Alyamod, we get a new area that leads to Nacelle A.  There is another part in the ship that is a door that opens partially then you hear an explosion sound and can see that the hallway is blocked by debris.  Maybe the character could open the door all the way(another idea, hitting the door with the wrench would open it all the way)and blast through the pipes so that corridor could lead to a new area (ie:troop barracks).

Lastly, in the body of the Many, there is a door that opens up to a wall of flesh.  While that could be left alone because it shows how the biomass is spreading around the two ships, it would be interesting to change that wall into a membrane that can be blasted away and reveal a new room on the ship

Other Ideas
After activating the transmitter on Deck 5, we could put in the transmission that was to be sent to earth from the resistance.  Later, in the shuttle bay where Delacroix is trapped, we use the same motion that Dr. Watts had while he was on that table, and use the sound effect where Delacroix warns you about SHODAN.

I'm not trying to point out mistakes to the original game makers, because the game is still an enjoyable and frightening experience.  These are simply ideas I had that could be done to the game.  I, however, have no way to make these ideas real because I have no knowledge on mod making or editing, but for those that do, please consider what I have said.  If anyone wants to hear any other ideas that I have, please ask.

Well, to tell the truth, this is not really new to me.  I have SOME experience with editing levels.  I used to do editing for the game Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith.  You can find what I have done at:

By the way, is there a set number for the standard dimensions on objects?
Ex:a door is D:6, W:0.63, H:10.5
