Hi guys, I just bought this gem and I'm ready for my first playthrough, but googling for fixes, updates etc I stumbled on this awesome forum and the announcement of an upcoming "community patch", so considering that I want to play this stunning game in its most flawless form possible the question is: Is it possible to know how much time I will have to wait before being able to play it with the SCP? :D

I wasn't sure of what was the better place. :P Anyway neither reading the questions and replying with nothing useful is very awesome, but I've read that you are usually rude so Ok no problem I guess it's simply your default behaviour. :) Anyway, can I ask you if you have a reply to my question or not? I think silver is pretty hypocritical. First of all, Zylon wasn't being rude. Second, if you are going to get upset because of rude behavior, then it probably isn't best to be TWICE the asshole back to him. Silver, if you are going to act like that I don't want to see you on this forum.

 Now one thing I would like to know, is when the community patch is coming!   ;)

 But take all the time you guys need, as I want the best patch possible!

if extracting files from an archive is an headache for you, you probably shouldn't be using a computer.

No. its more in reference to the readme. is says do this that and the other, which is innacurate.
What really needs to be done is just extract the archive into the RES folder (once you've done the sensible prerequisites its already there). Its been overcomplicated.

all mods go to the DataPermMods or DataTempMods folders. place them elsewhere, and see your game go belly up.

my mistake. it was the readme going on about the RES folder, hence my consusion.

back around 2k, i played SS2, and the Assault Rifel was a lv 6 Standard weapon, after tossing only the recommended bunch of mods in, it's now useable at lv3... and the shotgun at lv 2. ?

The assault rifel was sort of the game breaker when you got it back in un-modded SS2.
And now it's accessible at lv3?

(?)  Ok seriously, what files can _I_ modify in the DataPermMods folder, to push the Assault Rifle back up to say, StandardWeps Lv5?

(?)  how about the EMP Rifel up to Energy LV 5?

(?)   The Fusion cannon is eating 1 crystal per Norm -or- Death shot.
Isn't it supposed to eat 2 or 5 or something and be "Where the fat lady sings" on end-all damage?
and despite me being at lv6 it's not very damaging accept to myself :p

(!) (in the following, all aspects spoken of, assume Normal-mode operation:)  Is it possible to slow down the pistol cool-down rate, so it takes longer for a user to re-fire it, increase the recoil so it yanks ya all over, and increase the damage scaling from modification levels, so that it's doing -more damage- then the assault rifle per-shot. But cant be fired as fast as the assault rifle?  Effectively assuming it's firing harder then the assault rifle but with much less control or frequency.  Not talking "The Golden Gun" here  but just perhaps 120% stronger then a rifle bullet. With a really yanky kick in burst fire mode, making burst fire mode fairly useless lest at point blank.  while the rifles Automatic mode stays relatively kick-less as it currently is. 
it would balance out the pistol nicely, so that it's a hard choice weather to throw it away in favor of the assault rifle accuracy, or keep it for calculated bang-for-your-buck factor.  I hate that as soon as i get the assault rifle  it's time to throw all the pistols away.. I'm no dirty harry, but doesn't the pistol suffer enough that it must take up 3 slots just like a huge assault rifel in inventory? 
What files do i edit to make the pistol worth it's slots and a tough decision to part with?

(Not important) I want to split the cyber module pools up a little more. and hide more module chips in the darndest places! Tricker places! i love the Easter-egg hunt. I can get into all sorts of places i don't belong, i love checking behind every box and corner. squeezing under railings never intended.  The cargo-boxes in the shuttle bay.  Why is there nothing under them? :D it'd be awesome if there were a cyber module or 2 hidden under them.  or under Elevator pads! who ever looks under elevator pads! that'd be great in the Von Braun Bridge elevator! that door takes for-ever to close! lol
With more hidden all over, a few extra's could be included to cover for the ones ya just never see.   like 2 or 3  up in those destructible ventilation ducts that are always looming over head waiting for a wrench to pound-em! :D

(Not important) Monkeys!  when you throw the basketball in the hoop, FLOOD the locker room with monkeys! ahahahah!!!  That'd be awesome! would that script be too hard to throw in? *^:^*  come on,  it'd be perfectly in time with the monkey-mail! Psionic team Banana now entering the court!

posted my previous post in a hurry - you basically have three options: play with ADaoB as it is, or wait for SCP (which will bring some changes you might find appealing), or get into SS2 modding yourself and make your own mod exactly the way you like it.

the choice is yours.

If you want to learn about modding, MOTHER has guides and tools for you. You'll find more in the editing wiki on this site. The change you mean can be made in shock2.gam.

But have you even bothered to read about the AR in the change log? You seem to think that an overpowering weapon was made available earlier and easier in ADaoB. That's not the case however. Straylight thought the problem well through and went about his changes in a scientific way of testing and adjusting and documenting the process. His methods haven't been matched by any other SS2 modder and yet some people think they know better.
