Hi there.  Does anyone have any information how this mod affects multiplayer difficulty?

ADaoB does not change multiplayer difficulty, in fact, by adding respawn points for the Body of the Many, the game technically gets a little bit easier.

I thought it included the impossible multiplayer mod?
Which means that it sets multiplayer's difficulty as roughly equivalent to single player's "impossible" rather than single player's "hard".

Got a question/problem for you guys.

I try extracting this into the RES folder, and I can play, but now certain sounds are missing.  Videos are fine, and I can hear the instructor when I start a new game, but things like walking, and most in-game sounds, are gone. 

Is there something I'm doing wrong with ADaoB?  I've installed SS2Tool 2.7 and Mod Manager 1.10. 

If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it.  :)

What gave you the idea to extract this into the RES folder? :confused:
If you read the very first line in the first post of this thread it says: "Or change the file extension to .SS2MOD to use with the SS2 Modmanager."
Try this. Change the extension of the mod you downloaded. Doubleclick it. It will register with the mod manager which will come up. Activate ADaoB there and play.

I'm an idiot, that's why.  I opened the zip file with SS2MM.  The mod manager is a gift from God.

I stole that idea from SecMod, IIRC. :)
(Admittedly, it was my idea in the first place.)
But one of you two implemented it in ADaOB, I just explained the steps.

Is there coming next version soon? Anyway, this mod is really cool  :) but I would like to see few things changed in next version.

I liked the idea in Anisotropic shock2.gam mod that some alien organs need higher research skill. That would make the skill more usefull. It's too easy when you need only that battery and you are able to research all of them. You become more deadly for free. :p

Also some PSI skills could also be altered like localized pyrokinesis. It should do damage more often (every second?) but last less time. Hypnosis could last longer since it isnt as good as Stasis Field Generator. I mean if you attack creature hypnosis is broken. Also Electron Suppression could last longer since there really arent much PSI skills to use against robots and it's useless compared to invisibility. This way it would be more attractiv.

This last idea is quite crazy, but whatever 8) : It says in first year training part that you have learned to freeze enemys. It must mean Cryokinesis but since it doesnt freeze enemies how about it really does. It could only last 1-2 secs and work only for organic creatures.  :D

No, it should deal 1 damage every 400ms rather than 5 damage every 2000ms.  That will be changed in the next version, which should be released very soon.

As for your other suggestions, you might want to check out SecMod - it has cryokinesis slowing down enemies hit with it at higher PSI levels.

All the levels had to be modified to use the high-res textures, so they had to be put into a mod that changed the .mis files, which SHTUP does not.

Of course, now we have a version of DDFix that can apply high resolution textures to SS2 (without level modification), so we'll see...

What if I were to use the current mods which only have the 2.9 version tweaks and then use the newest
