While surfing a pirate torrents site I've found this.It contains:
A compilation of fan made patches and upgrades for the game. Does not contain the actual game itself (that's a different torrent to find)

196 megs

Contents of the torrent:

- Official System Shock 2 patch version 2.3

- Rebirth Mod Beta 1

- Rebirth Red Monkey

- Rebirth Rumbler

- SHTUP Hi-Res Textures Beta 5

- Hi-Res Weapons pack

- No Spider patch (for the arachnophobes out there)

- Win XP/2k compatibility patch

- Text file for troubleshooting XP issues

- Hi-Res Cutscenes pack (Hard to find!!!)
Right now I'm downloading this.It does not contain illegal files.

Those "Hi-Res Cutscenes" are a blowup of the torrent-size. They are rescaled versions of the original cutscenes with no quality gain whatsoever. (Made with good intentions by Savant back then but still haunting us today.)
The "Text file for troubleshooting XP issues" is likely a copy of the TTLG FAQ.

Apart from that I don't see anything in that torrent that couldn't be downloaded from this site anyway, eg the rumbler and monkey are included in the Rebirth complemented version distributed on SBF.
Then there's the fact that someone took these authors works without asking for permission and made a torrent of doubtful usefulness out of them.

Why do I think it's not very useful?
I could zip all the downloads from SBF into a big torrent, put that up on piratebay and close SBF if it was that easy. Thing is that the related information about all things 'shock' which is often reviewed and updated is the real treasure, served up here in an easily accessible way for everyone together with the downloads.

But the truth is that when some people hear the word "torrent" they instantly think they'll get something valuable which they can't find elsewhere ("Hard to find!!!") because that's what they learned by downloading music/movie/games before.
That was (beside bandwidth) one of the reasons I went pro-active ;) and started SBF's own torrent tracker. To show that we got torrents too here, it's not such a big thing, but we also got the information you want.
