Thanks everyone (just noticed a small mistake in texture replacement: "engine core" -engine1- appears where -engine2- should be used)

I know that this mod aims to stick to the original textures but...Today I noticed for the first time that there is no "0" on the keypads except when in Hack-Mode.

I don't touch model skins, it's a job for SHTUP (although I'd like to merge both four hundred and shtup: people know about SHTUP since it's been there from years, plus most player don't get the difference between the terrain textures and the object textures)

Must admit I still don't understand what this is (even though I use it haha!).
Perhaps a proper "about" section on first post? Instead of "just messing around with 2.4" lol. It doesn't say much ;-)

Is the mistake the reason why during training the window surround is wrong?

Ouch, normaly I get the difference between the two. Seems like I didn't think before posting yesterday. Sorry.
A merge would be good though. SHTUP400 :P

There is a 0 and C on my keypads just fine when using this and SHTUP.
Double ouch. Didn't check if the guy used shtup. And never paid attention to it while using shtup myself. It's all fine then :)

never leave home without SHTUP, that's what my grandfather always said.

On the other hand, it's the sad truth: I'm just messing around with 2.4 -- But you're right; I'll update the first post with the next release.

Yep that's the thing. I'm not even sure this texture is used anywhere else.

Not a particularly game-breaking texture problem, let's face it!

I'd also like a little more info on using this with SHTUP. Still learning what works best with what, but I'm hoping I've got my SS2 almost exactly the way I like it. But my question is this: does this replace any SHTUP textures?

I'm hoping a new ADaoB will surface soon, too. And with voodoo47's object logos pack... everything is looking nice :D

did not play that much with 400, but as far as I know, both mods (SHTUP and 400) are currently fully compatible (no file conflicts). the object logos minimod will however overwrite some 400 files, so it's up to you which logos do you prefer.

I found this glitch:

without four hundred:

four hundred installed:
The texture around the window has a "warning engine core" sign on it.

No other mods installed.

Just a head's up:  I posted about a possible problem with the newest 400 mod rar file in the sticky thread in the SS2 forum on GOG.com.

When I try installing the newest version of 400 into my datapermmods folder, everything copies correctly(after I let it overwrite the similar files in that same folder) until it gets to the Flt_1 folder. The copy then pops up a windows "Item not found" window saying the item(Flt_1 folder) & 7 other items(I think they're all folders in the 400 mod rar file) could not be found. It then asks me to try again/skip/cancel.

(I checked the rar itself and the folders i'm getting the error on are all empty.)

Is this normal, or is the newest 400 mod rar file missing stuff?

(I downloaded the file from both download links to see if it was a download error on either my part or the part of the download location, but I still get the same window popping up at the same point each time I try copying the 400 mod files into my SS2 install.)

Hopefully, these folders are empty, so there are no missing files.
- Is it the first time you download this mod? (because these folders are empty since the very first release, so you should have had this bug before)
- What software do you use to decompress the archive? (I use WinRar -- and often get errors with .7z archives)
If more people are having this issue, I can put a placeholder in these folders to make sure the decompression process goes without warning.

EDIT: I just noticed .7z files are smaller by 2Mb compared to .rar files; I certainly will use 7zip for the next release.

Uh, possibly stupid question, but why not just not include the empty folders? Unless there's something I'm missing, they serve no purpose other than to potentially make people think the archive didn't unpack properly...

I was going to reply "because I'm lazy" or "for consistency" or whatever. But then I wonder, why put placeholder when I could just make at least one texture for each of these folders?

I installed the previous version of the 400 mod with no troubles.  Both times I used WinRar.  The extraction/copying goes fine, it just pops up the error I mentioned before(while refering to a directory in my root drive's temp/tmp folder).

Thanks for reporting these!  :thumb:

I really need to be more careful about what I do. For the two first screenshots, rename:
"fam/accGreyEng1" to "fam/accGreyEng3" (no corners)
"fam/accGreyEng2" to "fam/accGreyEng1" (corners only)
"fam/accGreyEng3" to "fam/accGreyEng2" (corners & light)
It will be fixed in the next release.

Third sceenshot: surface sorting error, it's not directly related to four hundred.
Fourth screenshot: the glass is a little to low, I can do nothing about it (it's funny how often that kind of stuff happen in SS2)

I know, but can you fix that?

can't see the pictures from work (the corporate filter is a tad overzealous here), but as long as this is an object issue, I can probably fix it.

I imagine that fourth issue could be fixed with some DML repositioning and scaling.
