I suppose they could have picked better textures for theses, but once again, I can't do anything about it, it's a mapping issue.

I gave it a try, it's a bit too distracting, but on the other hand it's somewhat nice. I might tone it down a bit...

EDIT (things I just fixed, no need to report):
- That awful texture in Rickenbacker has one too many panel
- The pillars in the orbital station's main hall are too bright

If you're talking about the pipe in the hallway to Sector-D, I don't recall seeing it flickering in vanilla SS2, so it's not going to happen.
If it's not there, provide a screenshot please. (edit: my bad, it IS in the hallway to Sector-D)

(Anyway, the texture and shader exist so you can just copy the content of the "bright" version of the texture to the original -- from the top of my head, I think it's called "pipe", simply).

At the beggining of the game while standing in the waggon and looking through the glass, window in a room with two guys disappear. I've noticed that with SS2Tool v5.1 + SHTUP + SHMUP + Rebirth + Four Hundred.

this is an original issue - the engine is just not too good at handling multiple transparent surfaces. just ignore it.

This week? There won't be any significant changes though (some fixes, tweaking, extra glow maps and a few extra textures in Ops). I've spent some time on some ugly textures I'm not even sure I've spotted ONCE in the whole game...

SS2 actually has lots of unused stuff, they were the John Benders of game makers...never threw anything away.

SCP will make use of these textures in the future, so it's actually great that you are remaking those as well (SHTUP does the same for obj textures, actually).

Really glad to see that you're continuing your work on this project. It makes a huge difference in the look of the game. There are many more files to sort through yet, but don't ever think that your hard work isn't greatly appreciated. Well done and deepest thanks!

trying to fix map issues by modifying the textures is an incredibly dumb idea (I know, because I've tried it myself). I strongly discourage anyone from using this "fix". if you are bothered by the texture issues present in the vanilla SS2 maps, wait for the first release of SCP, which will fix them properly.

also, for the love of god, destiny or any other entity you might believe in, heed the advice that has been given to you so many times before, and use higher resolution pictures when trying to show something.

Just something to be aware of for when SHTUP-ND comes out (which will be sometime in the next few months)-- since NewDark allows increasing the resolution of terrain textures, SHTUP will be incorporating the SHEMP monitor textures. Since 400 also upgrades the monitor textures, we're going to need to figure out how to gracefully deconflict these two mods.
