Different colors, different text placement, arrows removed? Thumbs down on this one.

New one has higher quality and sharper, detailed image. Arrows are incorporated into the word "Caution". Striping is more yellow and far brighter. It's more indicative of what a caution decal should be - a noticeable warning sign. Old one is too dark.

Eh, to each his own.

As feedback/observation, the left side of the new RCK023 has a darkened lip, when compared to the right side.

I assume this is intentional, in order to simulate different lighting.

Yeah, I get that, but what if the lighting comes from an opposite direction? The old texture is lighting neutral.

The old texture also looks terrible, down to the arrow design and text placement.
Whereas ACC's new version makes me want to sleep on it, so some of its metal hardass awesomeness may rub off on me.

Sorry for shameless noob post but can anyone help me with this?
Never played system shock before, i absolutely love this game. I've heard alot about it but never actually played :S

So i used this mod list to bring it into a more appealing playing state for someone with a more modern game pallet

I applied everyone of them and they work great, the game is my wet dream
but the animated computer models from either SHTUP or Four Hundred appear not to work properly, honestly its not a big deal but its kinda annoying to see really crisp clear textures of the signs adjacent to the  mud texture of the computer monitors, some are good and some are not!
I've included a screenshot, in the blue lighting one you can clearly see the  "Ok" Diagnostic list there on the panel
but in the red lighting photo all the monitors look like butt! The screenshots arent very good but they get the point across.

Sorry to bother, but please help! Thanks alot guys :3

Alternatively, in the first post of this thread there's another archive called "removed content", it contains the screens you're looking for (not every screens are made)

took the liberty of uploading a new version (18a), it includes two extra mtls in the obj\txt16 folder which are needed for full SCP compatibility. ACC, please do include them in the future versions of the 400 mod as well (they do not break compatibility with vanilla SS2 in any way).

also, 18a filesize is slightly smaller because of better 7zip compression, so no worries, nothing got removed or anything like that.

and one more update (18b. all 44 people with 18a should update). should be all good now  - attaching all the additional mtls (the two from 18a included) to this post as well, you can use them to update 18 or 18a without redownloading the entire archive - just unzip into your AccFam_18 folder.

Voodoo, please, for the love of god and all the saints, would you please send me that via PM next time? Or at least attach the patch (only the modified/added files) as new file instead of repacking the whole thing?!

Just as an explanation: It's usual going here that staff members update mods (and mod posts) as necessary. Since the original authors often drop off for long times or forever, many mods wouldn't be kept up-to-date and would be altogether unusable by now if we didn't do that. Mod authors tend to see this as a service. If this seems intrusive to you, it won't happen again.

I get the idea, and that's okay, really. It's just that I'd rather have a second archive containing only the updated file than having to browse a 1.500-ish archive to figure out what file has been modified or start reading the whole thread all over again... I'd rather be a hundred percent sure what I uploaded, and what I have to include in the next release. But then again: I get your point.

I've spent too much time on other modding communities and it got me a bit paranoid: everything was done through forums and it quickly became a mess (someone posts something (so you download it), three posts later there's an update for that very file (so you download that one, erase the previous), and three pages later yet another update comes out of nowhere because of an unexpected glitch -- and it's a pain in the.... donkey ('DON-KEEE!) to keep the whole stuff up to date.

Yeah, the last update was like three month ago now... Unfortunately no, I have nothing right now. Grosnus provided a few extra textures, the least I should do is release these properly. I don't think I created much more since then, I think I got sidetracked with a Duke3D map, I just can't remember.  :/
