This person seems to be really sweet, I want to hug them. But the ridiculousness of listening to them rummage for the manual about an insignificant fact is superseded by the agony of hearing them form a thought and hesitatingly, glacially pouring it into a sentence.

Is this some kind of koan about the vanity of ever hoping to achieve something that isn't null and void in the face of  eternity? Are they testing me?

Well, my thought was: "Wow, she has the manual!" That is already 3-4 steps more than people in some podcast take and if you know the wikipedia article, you will know where they "researched".
And the approach reminded me of the old, pre internet days. If there is an obstacle in the game, you try some things, think about it and find a solution later on. Tells you something about the person, about how they may be. (Speculation of course)
And it's nice to hear some original thought about the game; though not polished. That is immensly interesting. Looking at stuff from an different angle.

Stuff like this is not a test but a invitation to discovery.

@JML That is proper disgusting. I cannot imagine the relief this person must have felt.

Nah, I don't think so.

This is an exclusive look inside the rumored Nightdive VIP Night Club at the Citadel Station. Raving mutants, rowdy robots and where the only showdown with Shodan is on the dance floor!

or you can just do drugs right before playing.

funnily enough, that's pretty much how SS2 looked on that Trident wreck of a card I had running in one test machine ages ago.

Could that be used for a Berserk patch?

EGA SS2 looks awesome in a retro demake kinda way. Just need a c64 version.

Thats so awesome. Is that even real? I remember playing an Aliens game from first person perspective on there. Very Space Hulk-ish since you had a 4 person squad and could switch at will.

I've already seen guitar hero done on the c64 and that looked fantastic.

the c64 version really needs more colors though, 4 just ain't cutting it. the sega genesis port is great though, and I imagine it would be a real killer in the early nineties, no idea why it's never been released officially.

//the c64 port actually supports a 16 color with audio sample mode, but you need to have the super cpu addon.

Even the 4-color version above requires a SuperCPU (65C816 add-on board).

The SNES port of Wolf 3D was pretty good. They took out the blood and switched the dogs for giant rats (if I remember right), but still felt like the same game. Just on a controller.
