and Bioshock1/2, and my bet would be BS infinite as well.

It is also a reference to the looking Glass doorcode

Which itself was a reference to the book.

It's in the vast majority of them:

The classics: SS, SS2, Deus Ex.

The dishonest modern ones: Deus Ex: Invisible War, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Dishonored, and now Fallout 4. I think it is in BS: Infinite too, but I have given that one even less of my time than the others.

for me, it's pretty much "honk your horn here if you've played the classics", and I approve of that.

toot-toot, insect.

Hi everybody,
I'm very proud to share our latest university project with you. Our goal was to recreate System Shock 2, an old PC game using today’s technology.

This short remake was done in only 8 weeks and the team consisted of 7 students from the NAD University in Montreal and we also had the pleasure to collaborate with a music composer and sound designer.

We hope you like it!

CREATIVE TEAM:
Julien Dastous - Technical Artist
Nicholas Lachance - Level Artist
Fanie Évrard - Level Artist
Philippe-Olivier Daoust Delaunais
Véronique Boisvert - Animation Artist
Patrick Ravary - Animation Artist
Matthew Smith - Character Artist
Medhat Hanbali - Music Composer & Sound Designer

doesn't look very shocky, if you ask me. also, kind of unclear whether the final product should be a game, or that youtube video.

Lol you are easy to scare.
i have not had a game scare me for 10 years now sadly.
and the worst is i love that element of fear so much not knowing where to stand or what might be up ahead.
love it, it gives me a rush.

Well, i'm scared when it's terrifying, when it's ugly and miserable. And too much late games  are making me want to barf with their low quality(

Visuals should always come second in a game.
if the gameplay is a train wreck no amount of eye candy will save it.

Where does the overlay menu at 1:28 come from? Where do the icons come from?

Of course he's leaving out lots of functions, like playing and stopping unread logs, psi skills shifting etc.
Nevertheless this is impressive.

That looks overwhelmingly usable. I am no controller fan at all in FPS games, but many people will like this. I think Steam controller definitely has its market.

Essentially a clip from Alien in red and black. I like that kind of visual.

"Warren Spector Joins OtherSide to Work on System Shock 3 pictures story" by technlogy & science

Not a funny video per se, but interestingly bizarr. And I'm collecting the music bits from this kind of video. Some day I'll have a large collection of obscure unknown free-to-use music^^.

It would be funny if the same thing hadn't happened to myself.  On top of muddy controls at one point the players hit animation just kept repeating endlessly.

I wonder if that would work with ss1?

So I can't embed these videos, but SF Debris' Lets Play of SS2 is very, very good. He has a separate video series released at the same time that goes through the levels analytically.
