nobody ever said anything about the 22 888 word readme being final - just that it finally exists. but yes, it's good news, as we ARE yet another step closer to the release.

Did you already encounter the game breaking bug which emerges right before the release and pushes it at least 2 weeks further?

not really, as we did not have a planned release date until very recently. until now, it was more like "look at this bug - no way we can release until this is resolved", and that has happened a couple of times.

buuut since you are mentioning game breaking bugs, we have just discovered a problem with one script module, which in turn causes issues with one particular extra functionality. not something that would prevent you from completing the game, but it raises a question - do we a) just ignore it and hope no one will notice that one of the shinies is sometimes not working as it should, b) remove that functionality and have no shinies, c) wait and hope someone will find a solution - yaay delay.

I don't care when it comes out, personally. Take your time, do it right, don't release 6 "whoopsie" patches in the first week, and I'll be happy.

There are a whole lot of other Shock related mods to keep me entertained in the mean time, most notably Secmod 3 and SS Infinite.
