Hey Olfred, what do you think about improving the ring buoy models? The vanilla model is a slightly angular torus for the ring, with the rope framing it represented by a single flat polygon. So upgrading that rope border to full 3D would be the hard part. And there's only about four of them in the entire game. So it might not be worth the effort?

yep, icons are good to go, so ho-ho-ho, now we have a (laser) machine gun - will patch Minstrel sometime next week. attaching a full Minstrel minimod in case someone would want to fool around in the meantime (summon_obj laser rifle).

Nevermind the model name. I already found it myself. But I have one question regarding it. Does it actually hang somewhere or is it always laying on the ground?

This reminds me, in the vanilla rope object (rope.bin), it looks like the texture is rotated 90 degrees from how it should be.

I jiggled and juggled around with the UV map and... yeah, it seems it's not rotated.
At least that way it is now looks the best (In my opinion). The texture itself doesn't make for a good rope texture.

My question would be where the rope came from on this futuristic FTL spaceship.
Someone hacked a replicator to replicate some rope? Someone had the foresight to put it into his/her luggage? The many tied it together from several strings they, uhm, pulled out of carpets?

How about making it a cable? Just needs to be red or blue and offers a more nasty sight of strangle.

also yeah, completely forgot that I wanted to suggest a bathroom overhaul for SCP beta3 - towels, toilet paper rolls, urinals and stuff like that, the models all already exist so it's just a matter of deciding whether we want to go with paper, or those three shells.

well, the vanilla bathrooms do look quite empty once you've seen ones in Christine's FMs, a bunch of towels and stuff would not make things worse.

But towels are unsanitary for a PUBLIC bathroom.  Maybe in personal quarters it would make sense.  Unless the towel was one of those huge roll-style towels that feeds back up into the dispenser and you only pull down a few inches at a time.
