It fits the other parts that belong to the same category. So I would leave it as that.

AIRCOR.BIN - Air Cond. Corner Joint (−2553) [should be using a generic pipe texture instead of NACELL3.PCX]
Careful, you're edging into System Shocked territory.

soo.. what exactly is supposed to be wrong with the texture?
674091cf3663e
I think it's justified to report it, and the report is well made. So I have no complaint.
But just in case it looks really like it is intended from the developers and not just some "slap something on there" like you experience in other cases.

I probably wouldn't pick up on it (I'm pretty dense) but now that I'm paying attn to it, it looks like the wrong texture for what it's clearly supposed to be.  It "could" be changed if you're bored for something to do.

No it's not

...

That does look like a "corner joint" and it also looks like it was meant to be a pipe but air conditioning?  I guess I was wrong about the texture but they chose an unusual depiction for an air conditioning pipe.  I would half expect to see Andy Dufrane crawling out the other side of those things.

I decided to look around in here while waiting for SCP beta 5 and I have to say you've got enough for a fixed objects v13! That said though I have a few things you may want to know about. The new pool table model, poolt.bin, has some texture warpage around the top sides of the table. It kinda waves in towards the center then back out again. Next the office chair has slight texture warpage on the upper left side of the cushion arch. Both the seat and the back are affected since they appear to use the same base model. Lastly, I read you don't want people to think you have a bathroom obsession, but I feel like the toilets could use some more polygons. Nothing to extreme, just enough to make it rounder. Ever seen a pentagonal toilet? I'd attach pictures for the first two but I'm too lazy busy to make a new one at the moment.

SHTUP already has an upgraded toilet model. It just hasn't been plugged in yet.

Sometimes these kind of things can't be avoided as the DarkEngine is kind of wonky sometimes.
I'll take a look

I don't even remember working on an office chair. Can you link to it?

Actually it's the base game office chair model, the one seen at all the security stations and computer systems.

I that case a screenshot would be nice, just to be clear.

I thought I mentioned this in my original post but I guess I brain farted. My account got deleted cause I didn't log back in in time and I joked that I was too lazy to make a new one. So I can't post pics at the moment.

create a new one, your old post can then be reassigned to it. and you can still post links to external images, they just won't be clickable.

This should give some context about that I'm talking about.

Oh I see.
Yeah about the chair, I can take a look at that when I find the time. But it might be ass to fix that due to the way the devs applied textures.
As with the pool table. Without creating a new texture that was as good as I could get it. It could be wiser to just include a bettere pool table into shtup than trying to get that better.

If the pool table model were to be upgraded so that the holes are actual geometry, then there's no reason to have those featureless black circles baked into the texture. They're easy enough to remove.

True.
Like mentioned, I didn't want to change the texture. Or more or less thought with having a new texture it would be better suited to include another pool table into SHTUP.

Also tested the weapon model fixes for multiplayer, it kind of had a negative effect on their ground models. Also was the vanilla wrench model always this high res?

those are meant for very specific purposes, not as world weapon model replacements.

674091cf37fe0
I know they're for multiplayer but don't the multiplayer models use world models? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

674091cf380b5voodoo47

674091cf38104
world weapons (meaning, weapons which can be found throughout the game, picked up and dropped into the world again) use world weapon models. which these are not. hence, when used for world weapons (doesn't matter whether it's MP or not), they will cause issues.

I don't know a whole lot about the dark engine's file structure, I'm just gonna leave things alone for now.

to make it simple, you are trying to use something in a way that has not been intended. don't put gasoline in a diesel engine.

or, if you want another example, if you use the ripped off head model for the pistol, you will find out that all the pistols will look like ripped off heads.
